If your business depends on a bank loan from the start, I think there are 95% chances in Africa that you will fail because the cost of borrowing is extremely high and the tenure of the loans you get is short term. it's not like in Europe, where you can get a loan for 20-25 years at 2-3 per cent. Here, in Africa you have to pay a very high premium for getting loans - Dr Sudhir Ruparelia
