{UAH} MARTYRS DAY STATEMENT

On this Martyrs Day, I would like to express my genuine concern about how Gen. Katumba Wamala's firm stand that led to the sacking of the entire Uganda Airlines board for frantic corruption infestation in the state company barely two weeks before this assassination attempt, how that stand could be the motive for the heinous attempt on his life.

On this Martyrs Day lets pray that the souls of Gen Wamala's daughter, and his driver rest in eternal peace, that pristine unadulterated justice ultimately prevails, and that Katumba Wamala makes a full recovery from the disturbing injuries he suffered in this barbaric broad daylight attack at the hands of senseless killers and their possibly disgruntled, malicious, and fatuous masterminds orchestrating a reign of terror against the people of Uganda, from the serial assassinations of religious clerics, to murders of foreign investors, court officials, police commanders, military officers, Members of Parliament, and even ordinary supporters of political opponents, all similarly died in a pool of their own blood with total impunity, one after the other, some at the hands of identitiable henchmen, meaning impunity was always authorized for these routine killings just to perpetuate the masterminds own insatiable greed (including greed for power and the nations resources) at the expense of this country, its genuine peace, it's equitable development for all, and the sovereignty of the will of all its people.

In this timely occasion, let's pray for all the martyrs of this country, including my late mother.
