{UAH} WHO SAID WHAT AT THE SATURDAY NRM CEC MEETING:

The veterans' league representative Maj Gen Jim Muhwezi asked CEC to be stern on matters of discipline if it was to strengthen itself internally.

"If we can't discipline senior party members like him (Mbabazi) how can we go and start disciplining junior cadres? We need to be aware about what we do," a source quotes Muhwezi as saying.

He tasked Mbabazi to declare whether he is with them or against them, to which Mbabazi said he has always supported the party and its chairman.

Kyaligonza
He said that during the bush war a soldier was court martialed and killed by firing squad for just harassing the people in the liberated zone. He wondered why the party wasn't taking a stern decision on discipline in the party.

Namara immediately took the microphone and told the meeting how the country was tired of the bush war stories, adding that what was important is reconciliation and consolidating the party.

Muhwezi and Kyaligonza literally rioted and reminded Namara that they are still revolutionaries. They said it was indiscipline on Namara's part to disrespect the sacrifice they made for the country.

The duo demanded for an apology and Namara was forced to withdraw his words. (In photo: Jim Muhwezi at a press briefing in parliament)
