{UAH} THE PRIME MINISTER'S SPEECH WHAT A BLOWN UP OPORTUNITY

Uganda got a first woman prime Minister a couple of months ago, and it is that appointment I want to go after this morning, prime minister Robinah Nabbanja has actually been serving in the government as a state minister of health for general duties. It is such a convoluted appointment that I am still to today not understanding what exactly she was doing, and how it was different from the permanent secretary of Health, but that is a discussion of another day. I apologize for I truly never followed her, as I do not follow many of these ratcheted up appointments in Uganda, but when she became the prime minister, she now received my attention, you see a prime minister in Uganda is the national administration,  she holds a huge stick and she can roll from government to government, as we have the Auditor Generals in this country. Two days ago she opened up herself by addressing NRM committee leaders and regional whips, on the fight against corruption and ensuring that government programs are implemented. That is her job and I raise a thump for her for doing what she was appointed to do.

 

What I am disappointed in is the way the forum failed to go after her due to the larger error she made in that speech, the forum focused on how powerful or not powerful she is, yes it did not go after her appointment and calling it tribalistic for that was blown up by her appointment, the forum went after her powers. If you follow the thread of “Where real power lies” it remained on how useless is her appointment, until when it ended up swallowed by Kenyan politics any ways, thus useless to Uganda and to the prime minister.

 

Robinah Nabbanja made a huge blunder in her speech, and I expected the forum to torch her alive, she promised to go after and expose the opposition legislators that use their positions as heads of committees to amass wealth.  She did not include the NRM legislators, NRM committee leaders, let alone the NRM whips. Why did she leave all of them out? Is she saying that they ae not corrupt? Is she saying that they aren’t under her authority? Is she saying that they are un touchable? Is the prime minister saying that her big sticks is out only after opposition leaders? Who then supervises everyone else apart from the Opposition legislators?

 

Every one that has commented about this thread surprisingly left that mistake to fly free, when I read that speech I thought by the time I log on again, every one will have gone after her for it was a huge blunder on her part, yet every one over looked it. John Kwitonda over looked it, the entire Mwiiri graduates over looked it, even Abbey Semuwemba over looked it, for all of those commented on the thread. And I posted on that speech, I thanked her for going after corruption, I left the blunder out for I thought there were better brains out there to go after it, but in ending what I posted, I even posted this sentence “And the Prime Minister can garner more of my support if she gets audited first in line.” as a reminder to all out there that there is a huge factor missing in her speech, yet to this writing not a single member has gone after it. The message the new prime mister sent out by her speech, was to state that she is going to be like the Democrats, they dumped good politics and embarked on a massive hunt down of Republicans. Well if you fail to get the votes you criminalize every Republican. Democrats are still going after Trump to today in fact the anti-Trump postings are still flying high in UAH, when the man left office. That is exactly what the prime minister of Uganda did two days ago. She believes that there is corruption in Uganda and it is limited to opposition legislators, and she revealed that her government has embarked on a process of unearthing and exposing them.

 

That opening up of herself was so wide and it is very strange that not a single member in UAH, let alone Uganda papers picked up on it, and we all allowed it to fly freely.
