Supporting Museveni shouldn't turn into blind worshipping

We must beware of a rebellious and stubborn spirit of obsequiousness that possessed people in government due to Gen. Museveni's greed for power that he built such cult of chamchas around himself in order to be seen as a supremo, and evidently it has fostered entitlement on the presidency as though he is the only visionary person to steer the country to the right direction. worshipping
As would be the case if the presidency was a corporeal hereditament, his son now also feels entitled to succeed his father because he fears that what they have accumulated over time will be confiscated if power lands into the hands of patriotic men.
Just as any selfish strategist, Museveni's intentions right from when he lost elections in 1980 and went to the bush were not to liberate the country from tyranny but to make Ugandans ignorant so that we adulate him ignorantly because the pig-ignorant poor people are very easy to rule for they are docile and nonchalantly lack inertia.
The way his co-opted disciples fiercely and dogmatically defend every action he takes regardless of whether it conforms with the legal or procedural requirements, you wonder whether these people indeed exercise their reasoning or not. As long as they are comfortable in their positions, they do not look at such excessive power as the source of a range of problems we are enmeshed in.
Adulating Museveni shouldn't be a blanket endorsement of everything he does because blind devotion based on his sacks of money and executive power rather than substantivizes irrigates Musevenocracy not democracy.
Gen. Museveni has turned himself into a god that law and normal procedure became a secondary option to whoever is desperately in a labyrinth of conundrum. This is as a result of broken institutions that are supposed to be independent but they also, just like the powerless Ugandans, bow down to the god in State House.
Whoever needs a job, will definitely beg the president to be placed somewhere. Whoever is losing his mortgage to the bank, will ask the president to intervene. Security agents all the time have used draconian means of arresting suspects before investigations just because the commander in chief a.k.a god they worship is okay with it regardless of it being illegal and a human rights violation.
Some other criminals like corrupt and murderers, by virtue of being worshippers of the god, will play antics as part of creative attempts to avoid prosecution. The only time the worshipers will face the punishment of the god is when they threaten his throne. Eying the throne amounts to treason.
This is a very bad precedent and restoration of public confidence in the institutions of government will be a herculean task once Museveni is gone. The one who will succeed him will definitely find it normal to also begin giving warped instructions whether they are legal or not as long as they see it as an opportunity to have the desperate howlers co-opted into chamchas.
The man loves to be worshipped despite not fulfilling what is expected of him ever since he grabbed power. The people he has co-opted and are in his echelon of power might be right to worship him with an obvious reason of plundering the country without shame at his watch but why would he want the wretched of the earth who have suffered his misanthropic presidency also worship him?
On what basis would the majority of Ugandans begin to worship the man who has kept them in impoverishment? On the basis of capitulation because of the fear he has imposed onto us as though he is doing us a favor to be president or?
After worshiping him, he appreciates by giving jobs and appointments which, in normal circumstances would have been out of merit but now whoever comes to him and licks his spit earns a juicy job and that describes the incompetence in the public service. You cannot fill the public service with incompetent worshipers and expect any productivity. Everything will definitely be bizarre.
The day we will all realize that the final authority is located in the law rather than in any human being like the president and others at all levels who behave like rascals because they have power is the day we will develop as a country.
The president doesn't respect the law as if he thinks that written laws and rules are useless and he is the supreme law of the land.
With hundreds of advisers he has—not sure whether they advise him or they are just occupying offices as a result of worshiping him—he ought to make use of them if he really appointed them to advise him based on their individual expertise. Maybe the reason he doesn't turn to them for advice is because he knows they are useless and occupying these positions for decoration.
As Aldous Huxley once wrote, "So long as men worship Caesars and Napoleons, Caesars and Napoleons will duly rise and make them miserable."
