Charles Rwomushana is no doubt a very eloquent and knowledgeable man. And last night he was among those hosted on NBS TV's Barometer program. The following is how he levelled off Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro, the new deputy publicist for the NUP party.

"I know some of these people are on the payroll of Gen Caleb Akandwanaho and Deputy Speaker Anita Among. They are earning salaries, even in advance, and their only role is to appear to be opposed to Gen Museveni during day time yet in actual sense they are working for him. Their role is to make sure they frustrate every effort to have any mass uprising against the NRA Al-Nakba within these districts of Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono."

He added: "That's their role. Then he (Mufumbiro) comes here to read out names of people he says have just been picked up and taken away by the Drone. I know it for the fact that many of them are on the payroll of Gen Museveni through Anita Among and Caleb Akandwanaho. If you doubt the extent of infiltration and that they aren't on her payroll, go and scrutinize all the votes they gave her at Kololo in that Deputy Speaker race. Do you believe all those votes she got were from only the NRM caucus?"

The moderator Blasio Zambali Mukasa, also of NUP party, uneasily turned in his seat before demanding that Rwomushana reveals some of the names of NUP officials who work for Gen Museveni under the supervision of Anita Among and Gen Caleb Akandwanaho.

Rwomushana, who bragged about having an excellent intelligence network even after leaving government, was furious after Mufumbiro accused him of double standards after he defended KB's new Red Card Front against demonization by NUP social media users. Rwomushana had also faulted NUP leaders for degenerating into "party after party" mood as opposed to ousting Gen M7 within 6 months as they had initially promised.

"It's now 9 months since the elections ended and they have all gone back to normal business and no popular uprising in sight," Rwomushana said, something Mufumbiro didn't like. Others on the show were Semujju Nganda and Minister Haruna Kasolo
