I repeat my self just for clarification, I am a Liberal party member and on both provincial but Federal level, but on this one the Conservatives have made a smart move. Yes they are under cutting us into the coming election. This is a good policy, if you have $200,000 show up we will get a visa for you to show up and invest it into our province. Look with this single call they have just invited a total of 20 million dollars investment into the province. This is way better than the song that Peter Simon Okurut sings, that we must open up our provinces for all kinds of Guatemalans, Allan Barigye’s that are truly Rwandans, many of whom end up un employed but on welfare. We need some serious infusion of cash in the province and if immigration is the vehicle so firkin be it. What you bring into the province must be considered in issuing you a visa. It is good but smart politics. We simply cannot keep on rounding up un employables and make that an immigration policy.

 

The province needs the taxes, and when I talk about paying taxes at this time I get very emotional, for as I have stated always, I pay my taxes the very last week of the year, thus between 27^th and 31^st December I have to take that brutal walk to the bank and pay my 2021 taxes as I do every year. And when I combine both the business and personal taxes, $10,000 simply does not make it. Now on that amount just imagine that every thing I have purchased since January the first to the day I will pay my taxes, from a chewing gum to a car purchase to a firkin Tim Horton cup of coffee, I have paid a tax on it. Every single time money has walked out of my pocket to buy anything and anywhere, I have paid taxes on it. We need people to infuse cash into this province than the Mwiiri Kwarakwara education, that preaches how we must allow all poor people to show up on our shores.

 

It is just firkin common sense that walks out of people with opinions that do not matter to the dear degree holders.

Ontario to accept 100 immigrants after each invests $200,000 in local companies

TORONTO — Ontario is planning to accept 100 immigrants in the next two years under a program allowing foreign entrepreneurs to apply for immigration to the province after they invest a minimum of $200,000 in its economy. 

Labour Minister Monte McNaughton says the government will focus on attracting international entrepreneurs to Ontario communities outside the Greater Toronto Area. 

He says these entrepreneurs will be nominated for immigration under the province's economic immigration program after they start a new business or purchase an existing one in Ontario. 

McNaughton says the new initiative will cost the government $6 million, but it will be recovered through fees paid by immigrants who are coming to the province to start or buy businesses.

He says the province is expecting at a minimum $20 million in business investment generated through this immigration stream.

The previous Liberal government in Ontario had founded this stream in 2015 but only two immigrant investors have been nominated using it since then. 

"I see immigration as one of the key economic drivers of Ontario's growth," McNaughton said. "There's an opportunity to create new businesses outside of the GTA, to create more jobs for people across the province."

McNaughton said the program will help with the recovery of the Ontario economy after COVID-19 pandemic. 

"We have to be aggressive as we build back better out of the pandemic to recruit entrepreneurs to Ontario," he said. 

Last month, Ontario called on the federal government to double the number of immigrants allowed under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program — from 9,000 to 18,000 a year — a program aimed at boosting the skilled workforce.

McNaughton said the province is facing a significant labour shortage that has been intensified by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
