WHEN DR. TANGA ODOI ASSERTED THAT MUSEVENI SAID; ACHOLIS ARE UGANDA'S BIGGEST PROBLEM & MUST BE FINISHED
Dr. Odoi - Tanga Fredrick, the current chairman of the NRM Electoral Commission in his PhD thesis Quoted an interview Museveni had with the Drum Magazine, in Nairobi, in 1985, in which Museveni categorically stated:
"the problem in Uganda is that the leadership has mainly been from the north. The Acholi are everywhere: in the army, big offices, etc. These people need to be sorted"
Tanga Odoi recapitulates, that Since the rise to power of NRM under Yoweri Museveni until 2006, Acholiland
never enjoyed peace. The UPDF army raped acholi women, killed babies and burn men alive hooled-up in army trucks.
Tanga, further asserts that Museveni's troops which followed the fleeing Obote and Okello soldiers allegedly killed, raped and used other forms of physical abuse aimed at non-combatants as well when they reached Acholiland, which was foreign territory to them.
The war was also a kind of ethnic cleansing on the Acholi for their "political domination" of politics in Uganda. Therefore, "the Acholi have to pay" Dr. Tanga Odoi.
