Muslim Majority City Council In Michigan APPROVES This Heinous Act

A city near Detroit voted to approve animal sacrifices for religious purposes, according to the latest reporting by Fox News.

The Hamtramck City Council approved the measure 3-2. Some note that all members of the council are of the Muslim faith.

The City Council voted in December, but City Council members kept the ban on animal sacrifices at that time. Apparently, they have changed their mind and want to approve the right to sacrifice animals for religious purposes. The Detroit Free Press reported on the change of heart among the members of the City Council.

Council Member Mohammed Hassan stated the following:

“If somebody wants to do it, they have a right to do their practice,”

It is often the case that those of the Muslim faith slaughter animals such as goats or sheep during specific religious holidays within the faith. They then share meat from those animals with family, friends, and the poor. It is part of their religious belief that they do this, which City Council members in Hamtramck seem to want to keep alive and well in their area.

Dawud Walid, director of the Michigan branch of the

Council on American-Islamic Relations, explained that this is not unheard of or unique.

He said

“This is when Muslims recognize Abraham sacrificing a sheep instead of having to sacrifice his son.”

It will be necessary for Hamtramck residents to notify the city if they intend to sacrifice any animals. They will also have to pay a fee to the town for the right to do so, and they must make their property available for inspection with the proper authorities.

The Detroit Free Press reports that Hamtramck has a population of approximately

28,000, and they say that more than half of the residents are of Yemeni or Bangladeshi descent.

Fox News reached out for comment with the City Council on this story, but the city council did not respond to the request for comment.
