Violence Erupts When Antifa Attacks Pro-Life Student At Prestigious University

The Students for Life of America (SFLA) organization at Virginia Commonwealth University organized an event earlier this week to promote their pro-life point of view.

However, the event turned violent and was shut down after Antifa members showed up to protest against the points being made. The Post Millennial pointed out that things got so out of hand that two Antifa students were arrested on site.

SFLA President Kristin Hawkins and Student Ambassador Isabel Brown were set to discuss “lies that pro-choicers believe.” They wanted to highlight some of the hypocrisy of the people who promote pro-life points of view.

The Antifa protestors shouted down both Hawkins and Brown. Some of those protestors were dressed in black and

intended to intimidate those who elected to be present at the event. Not only that, but the Antifa protestors seemingly only wanted their viewpoints to be considered (so much for free speech!).

The protestors held signs and shouted things such as: “fascists go home,” “Nazis go home,” and “f*ck pro-lifers.” They also used their signs to block those trying to take videos of what was unfolding before their eyes. It seems that the Antifa members weren’t even proud enough of what they had done to want it to be seen on camera by anyone at the event.

The Post Millennial reports that Antifa members assaulted many pro-life students and SFLA staff members.

President of Students for Life at VCU, Autumn Walser, was injured in the leg, and another student had cuts and scratches from protestors that started to attack her. Others were also injured as a result of this scuffle.

Students for Life of America Executive Vice President Tina Whittington said, “Antifa came for a fight,”

Hawkins pointed out: “Students for Life will be providing security for Autumn on campus for the near future until we can be sure that she is safe here,” and “And we will be demanding that VCU invite me and Isabel back to hold an event that is safe for all to attend.”

Whittington also said: “It was so ridiculous. That’s the definition of fascism and Naziism — not allowing for free speech. They wouldn’t allow other ideas to be expressed, and in a way, they won, even though pro-life

students stayed to talk after the event.”

This was not the way that anyone had planned for this event to occur, and it seems that even the Antifa activists might have been surprised by the way that things got so violent and out of control.
