{UAH} ๐๐๐๐ . ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
โ
He was among the founders of ๐ฆ๐ถ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฎ ๐ช๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ธ๐ฎ in 1971.
โ
But due to the bossy character of the Kinyonga brothers he quit to form ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ช๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ธ๐ฎ in 1978.
โ
He was joined by ๐๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐, ๐๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ ๐ & ๐๐ข๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐ข ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ (all from Simba Wanyika) and ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐, ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ & ๐๐จ๐ก๐ง ๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐.
โ
Because Shabaan wanted a more inclusive band, he organized for a "brotherhood OATH TAKING"! A sheep came all the way from TZ. Instead of being slaughtered, it was kicked and beaten to death; roasted and eaten.
โ
They were to remain NDUGU forever. Whoever broke the oath would get lost and die. This is captured in the song ๐ก๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ
โ
Ironically Shabaan was the first to break the oath. His song ๐ฆ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ผ๐๐ฎ won the Golden Disc Award in 1979, and he started behaving bossy! He also felt he had outsmarted his former bosses- the Kinyonga Bros.
โ
The Band split and was eventually hit with multiple deaths. Only those who kept a low profile have survived to tell the story! And his widow PAMELA AKINYI has all the band's valuable records.
Old, poor, uneducated, grumpy and with rotten village behaviours like Mulindwa need not be allowed in civilized world.
