Blood Trail In Chicago Day Care Leads To Grisly Discovery

Two newborn baby girls were tragically found dead inside a garbage bag at a day care center in Chicago, according to authorities.

The shocking discovery was made by janitorial workers at the Bernice Lavin Early Childhood Education Center on Thursday evening.

According to reports, the cleaning crew noticed blood during their shift and followed the trail, leading them to the two newborns.

The infants were found unresponsive in a black garbage bag and were immediately rushed to Lurie Children's Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Emergency services were called, and the woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Northwestern spokesman Christopher King confirmed the incident, stating that it involved a daycare employee and did not impact any of the children enrolled at the center.

The Chicago Fire and Police Departments were called to the scene, and Northwestern is cooperating with the police investigation.

In an email sent to parents, the company managing the daycare center explained that the emergency resulted in the unexpected delivery of twin babies.

The daycare center released a statement expressing their heartbreak over the tragic situation and assuring parents that all children and families enrolled at the center are safe and were not involved in the incident.

They also mentioned that emotional and mental health support will be provided to the center's staff and families.

As of Friday afternoon, no arrests have been made in connection with this devastating case. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
