{UAH} STROLLING AT RANDOM IN THE BLOGGERS' WORLD

I take this other opportunity to make some personal observations on a number of topics currently presented to the public by a number of bloggers. It's important to note how lots of people  have confidence in these critical bloggers whom they look to as a source of correct and accurate information on Uganda. Bloggers generally enjoy a lot of popularity from the public both at home and in the diaspora.Let's now look at the major key issues as proposed through these topics, most of them put on the floor by bloggers mostly appertaining to opposition groups.

Using  guns  and  instruments  of  violence  to  control  Uganda

Several bloggers have expressed worry and concern over the above issue.Bloggers accuse the regime of deploying excessive rough violence as a method of bringing fear within the population whom they think they can intimidate and control via such instruments of violence! The bloggers affirm that newly arriving immigrants, strongly armed, are openly chasing away people from their land in Buganda, Acholi, Karamoja, etc...

Observation
-----------------
If this is correct, it's indeed a very unfortunate development because it's the treason the regime must fight in order to protect Ugandans and their property. Failure to do so will lead the population to new considerations, including self-defence to which they are rightly entitled!
Concurrently to that was what one blogger diffused from another cassette this time reporting deliberations from Rwandan President Kagame Paul's bureau in Kigali where issues on Uganda were being discussed. What surprised many viewers was the fact that the fate of our detained youths could also be discussed in Rwanda! This must stop immediately! Uganda as a sovereign independent state has never been and will never be a colony of any other country. Ugandan issues must be decided by Ugandans inside Uganda!

Youths  transferred  from  safe  houses  to  assassination  spots

Many bloggers have brought to light this kind of information and they insist that youths are tortured  in all types of horrendous ways.

Observation
-----------------
Is it? An,d is this why many youths are arrested, kidnapped and thrown into torture chambers?
When will our youths really feel free in their country? Persecuting, killing , etc.. a youth is the most stupid act of cowardice.A youth has got to live and continue to regularly determine his destiny.Nothing must be forced on him. This type of forced love on the people is a very dirty nonsensical idea. And please, do try to spot and identify those torture chambers where our youths undergo inhumane ill-treatment. And do also have an idea on those secret spots both inside and outside Uganda where assassination of our fellow nationals takes place.

Panga-wielding  groups  again  at  work  in  Masaka

Many bloggers are coming forward with this assertion. And that the idea is to reduce Masaka to something of a colony manned by an immigrant group!

Observation:
-------------------
Ugandans can't continue folding their hands in the face of this very silly idiocy. Uganda attained her independence and became a sovereign nation, never again to be subjugated to a new colonialism, and this time imposed on them by a very backward group of people.
And Masaka has got to be singled out for many reasons. This was an area which in the sixties had revenues estimated to be three times those of Rwanda and Burundi put together.Coffee, cotton, and other cash crop products were doing very well on a very fertile ground. And had a lot of food. And the word "Masaka" became almost a household name.....in all regions of Eastern Africa. So now, for purposes unknown to many, a naive degree of unpatriotism works to belittle a once very great East African region. But all this can't succeed! Masaka has brains and determination. And Uganda is with Masaka! Ugandans won't tolerate seeing any part of their territory so abused to the extent of witnessing its destruction.

Plot  to  assassinate  Bobi  Wine  Kyagulanyi

Bloggers are continuing resurfacing this worry. And they are fully expressing a special degree of fear for the worst. They even go on to warn the young powerful politician / statesman to calculate his moves, actions, etc....

Observation:
------------------
The world famous young energetic political guru whose intellectual personality is an admiration to the whole world is a person whose life can't be played with. Kyagulanyi is an inspiration and an ideology welcomed all over the world. The whole world, the whole continent, and the whole region have insisted on seeing special protection extended to Kyagulanyi and his family. Many nations, including the USA,several countries in the E.U., etc have volunteered proposals to protect Kyagulanyi if the current NRM regime doesn't like to do so.
Would a possible assassination of Kyagulanyi make things better for the regime and its cronies? No! And not at all! They had better pay attention to anything regarding this question.
Nobody will kill Kyagulanyi because the young politician is too great for anybody and for any such silly plan which would naturally call for a world supported civil conflict.
They must leave Kyagulanyi alone! He overwhelms them with the downpour of popularity he enjoys everywhere in the country as recently seen in many of his displacements that included Jinja City where hundreds of thousands invaded the streets to cheer him.Others who have baskets of money to distribute ( taxpayers' money) in all forms of handouts their method hasn't succeeded to bring them the support they expected out of their money. The masses have resolved to identify with the oppressed but very extremely brave young politician because they see in him their own thinking and dreams as projected at this hour. And he has a team which has proved to be pro-people and quite efficient in all its dealings. It's a real government machinery in the making and it outshines by far any sleepy regime.
Kyagulanyi's  financial contribution  at  Kato  Lubwama's  mourning

Bloggers have criticized the pastor who in his service preaching marginalized Kyagulanyi on the 1.000.000/= he donated for mourning of the late Hon Mr Kato Lubwama.....

Observation
------------------
So how much did this pastor want Kyagulanyi to give and under what norms of criteria? such donations are voluntary and are determined by the giver. And indeed Kyagulanyi even gave too much! So that pastor can't appreciate the amount of the donation from a person whose businesses are almost reduced to extinction by a regime which doesn't want to see others prosper? Can anyone fail to see how Kyagulanyi is taxed everyday by NUP activities which include visiting NUP prisoners detained for nothing in quasi-Nazi torture chambers, and looking after their families. Is the Kato Lubwama mourning the first Kyagulanyi has ever attended? He's always attending funerals of his deceased supporters, some of whom die in unknown circumstances. And he's always visiting the sick including NUP supporters in hospitals etc.. The pastor, as for himself, is always spending almost nothing but receiving bags of cash from his faithful members. The pastor, as well as others, should stop uttering any senseless statements on Kyagulanyi, Africa's most admired politician.
Anywhere in the world anybody can donate what he can according to his ability. If such a ceremony were in France such donations would be collected at the offering in a Requiem Mass service. And if the French President was around, protocol and tradition would only allow him to depose in the collection basket  a coinage whose value is worth five cents of an euro.

Cassette  on  a  programmed  persecution  of  Ugandans  goes  viral

This cassette, distributed by bloggers, records the statements voiced by an immigrant who takes great pride in what was illegally done to His Majesty the Omusinga of Bukonjo whose release from an unjustified detention was the very serious work of many international actors. The very irresponsible immigrant arrogantly boasts of the programmed action to sort of belittle Uganda's very much beloved kings, traditional leaders, customary heads, etc.. He also affirmed that their group will take away land from Ugandans and that they will establish a hegemony that will forever subject all Ugandans under the group's command.

Observation
------------------
Such irresponsible and dangerous talk needs to be seriously examined and get the author punished. Ugandans aren't ready to be systematically insulted and despised and marginalized
by any imbecile of the kind. Uganda is a sovereign nation with a sovereign population that has existed from time immemorial. Ugandans have been for hundreds of years establishing institutions that guide their tribes and social classes. It's very silly, once granted asylum in a country, to  start showing ingratitude to the host country and its peoples.Ugandans always feel insulted when they see neglect in their regard and programmed care extended to others brought in the country to give a backing to a naive regime .....and to thus perpetuate misrule and dictatorship. Ugandans aren't ready to listen to any senseless lecture given by any mentally crooked nincompoop! Let him know that his design won't work in a determined Uganda.
Refugees installing in Uganda have to respect the Geneva convention that guides their status. They aren't here to become rulers and governors. Any fool who thinks that he will just stand up and start exposing us his stupidity had better go to sleep and melt that stupidity under the warmth of his blanket! Or else he should pack up and go back to his country.

Attack  on  Bukalasa  land  office

Bloggers reported a few days ago this attack on a main land-office situated at Bukalasa in Nakaseke District.Nakaseke, a place reputed to undergo very regular systematic land-grabbing at gunpoint, and where the natives are chased away in masses from their ancestral land.
According to the story narrated by bloggers, and citing the local press, all land titles were carried away from that office.... and they have hitherto gone missing!

Observation
-------------------
It's just very easy to guess the authors of this theft. Those who are hellbent on depriving Ugandans of their personal land. This land-office apparently caters for the entire Luweero region
and neighbourhoods such as the cattle corridor, a manne for land-grabbers..
Many of us remember a report on facebook whereby Gen Salim Saleh offered 600m/= to help catch those culprits. Will the arrests target the real thieves or the innocent? Salim Saleh would have shown more resilience if he engaged in the arrest of those land-grabbers in Nakaseke. His personal 600m/= ( from tax-payers' coffers) would be meaningful if he got involved in the arrest of the true land-grabbers! Ugandans can no longer be fooled in any sense......

Streams of immigrants regularly cross from Rwanda to Uganda

A blogger recently played a cassette recorded from the Uganda-Rwanda border in Kigezi. In it viewers saw endless lines of people crossing from Rwanda and entering Uganda just so freely without presenting any identity document. And there was no cross border movement noticed from the opposite side, that's people moving from Uganda to Rwanda.
And a couple of weeks ago it was even streams of busloads of people crossing from Rwanda to Uganda.

Observation
-----------------
So, what's the policy behind all this fuss?  Is it true that finances programmed to cater for Ugandans are regularly shifted in another sense, that's to help those immigrants settle in the country, as bloggers claim? Where is the respect that is supposed to be extended to Ugandan nationals in their capacity as the genuine owners of the sovereignty of their country? This is absurd! The regime tells Ugandans to reduce the birth rate in order to effectively manage a feasible economic development policy and yet at the same time Ugandans are witnessing uncontrolled daily mass entries in their territory.....

Museveni regime fears most the Ghetto youths

Numerous bloggers have observed how Museveni himself and his regime are very fearful of the marginalized ghetto youths...

Observation
------------------
Museveni is right to fear these types of youths and he's right if he observes that he can't enjoy his sleep because of them! This is a special category of people whom he never expected ever to mount on the political stage of the country. To his surprise, in came Kyagulanyi who entered the stage with new styles, a new political language, and especially a very formidable force of a charisma that leaves no trees standing upright. With this ghetto arch-ideologist whose elegant profile of an introducer to a new spring in Uganda, many things on the political arena had to vanish and melt into thin air.The ghetto had now found fertile ground to grow its seeds, and that was the overall general discontent that appeared characteristic of people's frustration...
The ghetto politician was outright visibly seen as the real solution to all this frustration. And the millions that cheered him everywhere were a quick aspect that would firmly confirm to the world that real change was a popular necessity in the country. For the NRM regime this was the real final nail in their coffin. And they are proving this development through the rudeness and the ruthlessness they are now handling the affairs of the country. Gone and finished! And however much they will use force, imprisonment of the innocent, etc...they will never triumph over the amazing efficiency of the ghetto youth's very crafty approach to the nation's politics. The ghetto youths have everything it takes to form a real political empire .......And they have formed it!

Kasese and Somalia become important points of concern

Practically all bloggers on Uganda and other commentators have spoken a lot on Uganda's involvement in Somalia and recently on the massacre of students in Kasese.Their analysis points an accusing finger to the regime....

Observation
------------------
What was an important answer to the AU and UN call for Somalia which the world wanted to salvage from violence and instability has over the years turned into a different scenario difficult now to control. The rebellious situation is now turning against Uganda, Kenya and all key players who have been providing forces to combat the anti-government rebellion. It seems they aren't ready to back down and go to the negotiation table as they are registering military scores almost every time. These rebels boast of having killed almost 1500 Kenyan soldiers in the recent months. And they claim to have killed hundreds of Ugandan soldiers including the 300 casualties they inflicted on the Ugandan troops so recently.Their intention is to have the full control of the country and eventually to dictate their conditions at the negotiation table. And it appears they are quite not far  from this objective.
A cassette presented by the bloggers and believed to have come from the Somali rebels accuses the Ugandan regime of trying to benefit financially from the war......
As for the situation in Kasese, the bloggers are right in their claim that it put the country to a big shame before much of the international community.Everyone is wondering why such great force in the form of real vengeance can be exerted to such a small place like Kasese. And why mere school children can die in such very big numbers in an area where there was a lot of military installation. And killed by the ADF terrorists?? Of course nobody is ready to believe such pretexts!  Uganda's financial resources have been poured into the area and in its neighbouring Congo regions in order to construct roads there as a way of finally dealing a big blow to ADF. One would even ponder on the question of seeing how those routes are now a clear gateway to terrorists for their entry into Uganda's territory where they can kill and kidnap students without being noticed by the hundreds of security personnel in the region. A Kasese school is punished and recently another school in Mukono lost dozens of students when they ate a poisoned meal! And what surprises was the immediate arrival of security forces not to help find the murderers but to prevent the parents from taking away their agonizing children!

Mabira Forest mass graves

Bloggers claim to have got knowledge about the mass graves found in Mabira Forest. It's claimed that many Baganda youths who have been recently killed have been massively buried in this forest!

Observation
-----------------

This kind of noise has been circulating for many months. It's indeed terrifying to see that a great forest like Mabira can turn into a limbo to welcome those mass graves in which youths, mainly from Buganda, killed for their political opinion, are secretly interred. Imagine a Muganda being buried in Mabira Forest! Sources have always accused both Karangwa and Kibuule of being the brains behind such an operation. True or not true? It's indeed very sad to see such persons moving with full impunity for this crime.Such people don't know that a human can't defy time and the unstoppable course of history! They will one day cry regrets at a given hour.....
Mabira Forest, a place which has a lot to do with Buganda traditions, is at the same time being secretly taken over as a personal property belonging to a group of persons. The reason being that the forest is rumoured to have a very rich underground full of mineral resources!

Dr Ssali unjustly detained
Bloggers have informed the public that this qualified medical doctor is a person reported to revolutionize medicine through promoting the use of herbal and natural medicine. He has been arrested and thrown into custody for unknown reasons.....

Observation
-------------------

Some bloggers may be right when they state that the regime in place is jealous of Ugandans whose success in various fields has made them rich and with a lot of prospects ahead. This very popular Dr Ssali is naturally a victim of this very shallow circumstance. All Ugandans are for this doctor and they want him out of prison to resume his excellent duties which are beneficial to the unmedicated population of Uganda.

Karamoja, Acholi, Buganda to suffer a lot from forced land grabbing?

Several bloggers have regularly expressed worry about the unpunished manoeuvres going on mainly in Buganda, Acholi, and Karamoja whereby the military is used to ensure the grab of land from the innocent people in those regions.

Observation
------------------

Ugandans in general are very much opposed to this very dirty silly secret programme of acquiring land through force and mischievous propaganda to take land from the innocent citizens. And it's said that the regime is strongly behind all this because there is a big intention to settle in many of these areas people from Rwanda and Eastern Congo. Some bloggers are logically correct when they state that some of the massive financial programmes which would naturally be destined to Ugandans are on the contrary being oriented to the financing of the new programmes in favour of immigrants who enter Uganda even without a recognizable ID.....

The Akabano and its unpatriotic intentions

Several bloggers have presented to their audiences this new term "AKABANO" as being a reference to a group of Rwandan immigrants determined to take over Uganda because they have the money, the necessary power/ force, arms, and a strong government backing thru the armed forces, the police, and other kinds of security forces..This group is reported active in grabbing land and at times in doing the killings! And, according to bloggers, they appear determined to achieve their objective!

Observation
-------------------

First of all, an appreciative note to those Rwandans who have always refused to adhere to such groups which tend to marginalize the good spirit with which innocent Ugandans welcomed them on their arrival in the country and which spirit is still ongoing!
Now, it's very disappointing to learn of the presence of this group known as Akabano! It's a strong mark of marginalization of the poor humble Ugandans who are abandoned and betrayed by the people they have been counting on as reliable partners. Uganda is a sovereign country and its people must enjoy the full protection as expected to be provided by the relevant authorities and institutions. So, if the Kabano is allowed to be fully operational in our country, it just means that the regime in place isn't for the people of Uganda. And this is where the country needs the leadership that won January 14, 2021.The scenario before us now is that of an apartheid trying to be created against the indigenous Ugandans, now rejected and marginalized to a helpless extent.
But I pity these oppressors because they are playing with a country which is millions of times more intelligent than them.Nobody will ever succeed to erase Uganda from the map.And nobody will ever succeed to subjugate the people of Uganda under any hegemony. All plans, including removing Luganda and other local languages from syllabuses....so that Ugandan children don't have any access to their mother tongue, will be swept to a dustbin. Any Ugandan tribe must feel safe and proud of living in Uganda. Nobody will ever succeed to permanently belittle Ugandans in their country!
Guns, violence, money, oppressive laws etc..cannot win a determined patriotic mind!
Akabano is bad colonialism by which Africans want to colonize their fellow Africans. Nobody is going to accept such a type of  silly idiocy in our independent Uganda.

A lot of talk about Uganda's minerals

Bloggers have promoted to prominence this aspect on Uganda's minerals and how they appear to be not a national asset but a personalized belonging virtually owned by a mere group of people sharing with non citizens.

Observation
------------------
A right or a wrong observation by the bloggers? Assuming that the bloggers are right on this topic because they have a lot of contacts with the highly very observant population, this means that Uganda as long as it is in unsteady hands is doomed to big negatives! Bloggers have given examples of what's going on in Karamoja, Acholi, Bukedi, and in Buganda's regions of Mawogola, Ssingo, Mubende, Bugerere where in all these places the mineral industry is controlled by a certain clique of Ugandans connected with those above.... and some foreign enterprises. Names of Ugandans involved in this very sinister exercise have often been cited. Is there no concrete policy on Uganda's mineral resources ? Because if someone could claim all authority on our minerals it just simply means that these resources don't belong to Uganda and as such to Ugandans but to a particular cabal of persons who use the assets derived from them
in order to promote their very own personal greedy ends. There is no accountability on whatever is exploited from the mines. Were the bloggers right to point out that Uganda's government policy was a division of two things, one, that which would be introduced to Parliament for public debate, and two, one which privately belongs somewhere where nobody had a right to access. This could be proved correct if one looked at the way the mineral sector operated. .
This question is a very serious issue which naturally requests big answers! Up to now Ugandans don't know anything about those agreements concerning minerals, oil, and nature (lakes, swamps, forests, sand, soil, etc...) And who pockets finances from those assets?
Ugandans are supposed to know all these things!

Job initiatives created by Ugandan youths are undermined by authorities

Bloggers have often predicted and expressed worry and concern over what appears to be a plan to marginalize and to undermine the career initiatives which Ugandan youths have set in motion in order to fend off unemployment and joblessness.Among the initiatives undermined include bodaboda transport system, money exchange programmes, fishing, etc..

Observation
-------------------

Ugandans are a very inventive and creative lot. Every moment there is something special set up anywhere in the country to their benefit. Among these creations are the bodaboda transport system, food vending in open spaces and on pavements, and so very many others. These locally created jobs and chores have been employing countless thousands of people, notably the youths deprived of employment facilities. What surprises many is that when such occupations are abolished, nothing is proposed in return. The regime is thus seen as an institution that lacks a momentum to cope with the dynamic rhythm of an inventive local youth.
All this is a strategy to chase Ugandans away from the employment sector.
A blogger rightly observed how Ugandans are thrown out of downtown Kampala and are replaced by persons from the unknown. Another blogger is of the opinion that even the entire job market together with the official business allocation committee are no longer representative of a pure Ugandan mind as Ugandans are denied opportunities to progress in business and in various professional fields. And some senseless backward mouths are uttering dirty nonsense blaming the youths for being lazy and for failing to create salaried activities to improve their lot.Where will the youths get the means to start anything when corruption and mismanagement of funds are elements that form the frustrations of all their ambitions? The actual regime is accused of neglecting the youths for whom no serious plan has ever been made to push them forward. And the present persecution and ill-treatment of their class where thousands of them are rotting in prisons, torture chambers, etc...psychologically disappoints and breaks down any youth!

The many reported deaths of infants in health centres

It's very shocking and indeed very pitifully pathetic to learn from bloggers the very big numbers of deaths affecting babies and children. Very many infants have mysteriously died in health centres, maternity, hospitals, etc..Bloggers have specified the intentional cause of these deaths as relating to a political programme intended to benefit a health sector belonging to a tiny category of people. These people need blood from these infants in order to get a rejuvenation in their bodies !

Deepest condolences for the loss of an Archbishop  and an Al Hajj

Bloggers must be thanked for urgently informing the public on any important death in the country. We now very strongly regret the passing on of a very highly meritorious Emeritus Archbishop and a very pragmatic influential politician. Deepest condolences to all fellow citizens for the loss of Archbishop Paul Bakyenga (Mbarara Archdiocese) and Hon Al Hajj Hussein Kyanjo, former MP and active member of Jeema. These two deaths did indeed pain all Ugandans, and especially abroad. Very sincere appreciation to Ugandans at home for the triumphant send-off the population mobilized for the Archbishop and the AL Hajj. The two persons deserved this very heroic manifestation. May their souls rest in eternal peace.

Democratic Party hold prayers for the party and its deceased iconic members

Bloggers have informed the public about an important activity which took place recently. That was the prayer service  organized by the Democratic Party to remember many of the party's deceased icons who included five former president generals : The Great Benedicto Kiwanuka, Joseph Kasolo, Matayo Mugwanya, Paul Ssemogerere, John Ssebaana Kizito, and the many important party members who contributed to the high prestige of this legendary political party.
It was also the occasion to pray for the party itself especially in these moments when the ruling NRM, having lost direction, wants other political formations to start crumbling for the sake of its own individual survival! NRM is also afraid of a determined DP.
According to a report, this function was presided over by three party individuals among whom Hon Dr Michael Lulume Bayiga, a very solid influential party member from Buikwe South where he is also the area MP. The simple humble occasion which was well-attended continued to show how the ancient Democratic Party still possesses its mobilizing effect as a tool for portraying its dynamism. This is the party which by all estimates and considerations will one day spring a surprise as one of the most powerful political forces in the country. DP and NUP to dominate a future Ugandan political panorama? It would appear.....!

A great King speaks his mind and the world applauds

His Majesty the Great Lion of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II moved the world with his recent 30th coronation anniversary speech to the Kingdom. In it he outlined many things among them the most wanting such as the lack of any visible power for the monarch, the refusal to access the lakes where his subjects traditionally carry out important revenue generating activities, the importance of federal rule as a motor for development, the warmly appreciation of the role played by the youths whom he advised to abandon the idea of quitting their villages and the temptation to sell their land and to desist from that urge to accept miserable offers of unqualified jobs abroad.
All points developed in Kabaka's very powerful speech are winning massive support all over the world where cassettes are going viral. The Kabaka's very wonderful speech is drawing praise and applause everywhere. He was right to say what he said. All this was for the great good not only of Buganda but also of the entire country which has profited a lot from Mutebi's very eminent personality.
A very creative track record and a very high profile unifying charisma to his credit, Kabaka Mutebi II, thanks to this very brave royal discourse, was able to draw meaningful support from
serious actors and observers. For example, many are with him on the role a Kabaka can play in the development of a nation or his kingdom. Various aspects in this regard have, since the 1850s, witnessed a Buganda pioneering regional diplomacy, trade exchange programmes, and everything that pertains to a revolution to modernity. The Kampala of today with its filth, torture chambers, and an aggrieved population worried about the future of the country, is far behind in global outlook that Kampala of the 1880s ....which was a spring-board to propel across new and better horizons.
Mutebi's vision on federalism is also saluted worldwide. The feeling is that a well-elaborated system of federal rule with resources equitably programmed for equal sharing and with citizens to move freely seeking opportunities in any region of their country will be a welcomed process that will combat inequality, corruption, and discrimination in various types of allocations.
Uganda will see many of its poor regions taking to the forefront of real national development thanks to the natural resources and abundance of good soils they have.
The actual dull system which has engendered mismanagement, egocentricity, etc must be replaced with something more appealing and better admired!  Corruption and egocentricity are anathema to economic expansion and employment creation.

                    An overall general observation
                            -------------------------------
What has been mostly exposed throughout all points above is a kind of a situation that doesn't, to a big extent,  announce good tidings for Uganda. And many Ugandans and others are a bit pessimistic about the future of the country. To a greater extent what the bloggers have pointed out is what any person observes especially when inside the country. There is a lot of injustice, cheating, lack of respect towards the laws of the land especially in matters regarding land registry and real issues pertaining to the respect of human rights. Violations are real and the ruling authorities themselves are to blame!! Indeed they have to take much of the blame for all this sinister phase because of open negligence exhibiting true intentions  tending towards a programmed something! All these things which the bloggers are exposing are the true picture that depicts current Uganda! Sorry indeed! The country needs a lot to do in order to stand and be counted as a nation that embraces human rights, development projects particularly aimed at advancing the neglected youths who form almost 80% of the country's total population.
Uganda needs lots of prayers to request God's intervention to help prevent what has frequently been seen as a glide towards a total disintegration of the country! Bad discriminatory policies and the apparent marginalization of tribes or people in general are already seen as a key opener to a fall apart with each section stubbornly controlling itself in its own fashion...Such a break-down was first predicted many years ago when a British journalist / analyst reported on what diplomats and serious international observers saw as a future Uganda : a disintegrated lot with one respected nationalist ( at that time they hinted on Dr Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere )  trying to assemble the broken pieces of a country. This observation is now making a return in the minds of several observers. And indeed, in their assessment, many elements are at play on the forefront to bring all this to reality. The actual regime has always failed to honour the advice on Buganda, for example. All assets haven't been handed back to Buganda. And instead, observers are witnessing an almost programmed promotion on all Uganda's soil of persons just imported from the unknown! And such persons enjoy all  national benefits including getting a backing from the security forces to chase bona fide Ugandans away from their land. Upcountry areas of Buganda, even in other regions, are undergoing such unlawful measures. And in several places around Kampala big shots are said to illegally acquire chunks of land where they want to chase away the original dwellers! For the time being, Ugandans are holding their traditionally known quiescent patience. They observe everything very carefully. And at one moment time will come to react and their intelligent determination in resolution and serious resolve will by far outclass the sound of any guns.
An ingratiating general attitude is now the stand most Ugandans are taking against any NRM news about 2026.Will this 2026 be different from other poll years or not? The likely answer is in statements which propose Museveni or a close relative to stand. Of course the usual kind of programme already knows the winner...... And the country will for another five years undergo that rule of a leadership that surrounds itself with a pack of bayaaye often intrigued by insobriety and, unfortunately, whose voice is stronger than that of Parliament or any other national institution. Again the nation will see another five years of waste! Noises in favour of boycotting 2026 are winning many minds.Perhaps one day Providence will provide a solution to all this officially programmed injustice which the humble people of Uganda will always reject. And  they aren't ready to continue submitting to any form of oppression, open or latent. And they aren't ready to welcome any idea of a road map prepared for 2026 by the very same electoral commission working on the very same orders from someone. This can be rightly seen as an open insult to the ever cheated people of Uganda. The humble citizens of Uganda aren't cows or goats to receive orders and commands from  any type of  shepherds. An acceptable road map for 2026 can only be a programme taking into account January 2021 whose detailed correct results the electoral commission has never officially published in good detail for the attention of Ugandans. And what kind of road map will it be when parties and other responsible national bodies are denied a chance to participate in the draft of a very concrete acceptable set of electoral laws that can be welcomed by the entire population. Road map / road map when hundreds of innocent youths have continued to rot in detention chambers  since the last general election!  A road map that  comes against the backdrop of human rights violations, open corruption, brutality by the security forces, the much visible abandonment of the population now intentionally left to fend for itself in all aspects..... when huge sums of money drawn from the national coffers are uselessly spent on unnecessary projects that don't have any relevance to people's welfare.
All this somber picture should never discourage Ugandans from having full confidence in their country. Uganda is far bigger, greater, more intelligent, more reliably trustworthy, and very far more universally  loved than the cowardly oppressive regime which isn't sure of itself and which appears in a hurry to rush to the exit as it gets more and more rejected in the region, on the continent and on the international scene where it is judged as something of a spent force experiencing power drain and a rapid erosion of energy. These people, no matter whatever they do to cling to power, will never emerge triumphant over the determined people of Uganda!   The people will always be the conquering victors!
G.H.K.
