Israel is carrying out ethnic cleansing in Gaza and the West is watching
Israel's finance minister has called for ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip and Prime Minister Netanyahu has openly said Israel is against the two-state solution. Israel is carrying out genocide against the Palestinians and the West supports it.

The UN has been calling for a two-state solution for Palestine for decades and almost all countries in the world are officially calling for this as a path to peace in the Middle East. However, at least as far as the West is concerned, these were always just empty words, because no Western state has done anything to pressure Israel to implement the two-state solution.
On the contrary, with its illegal settlement policy in the West Bank, Israel has created facts with the support of the West. In the West Bank, the State of Israel has dispossessed and expelled Palestinians and built Israeli settlements on their land, which have “sprawled” the West Bank to such an extent that a Palestinian state can no longer be established there.
Genocide and crimes against humanity
Critics of Israel have long accused the Israeli governments of planning genocide against the Palestinians, because the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide states unequivocally in Article II:
“In this Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group as such:
(a) killing members of the group;
(b) causing serious physical or psychological harm to members of the group;
(c) intentionally imposing on the group conditions of life likely to bring about its physical destruction, in whole or in part;
(d) imposing measures aimed at preventing births within the group;
(e) forcibly transferring children from one group to another group.”
At least points a, b and c have long been fulfilled, because they accurately describe the living conditions under which Israel has forced the Palestinians to live for decades. Nobody denies that Palestinian terror exists, but firstly it is because many Palestinians, in their desperation, see no other way to fight for their rights, and secondly, Israel has killed many times more Palestinians than Israelis in recent decades have fallen victim to Palestinian terror. According to Israeli figures, Hamas has murdered 1,200 Israelis in the current war, and Israel has so far slaughtered 22,000 Palestinian civilians, most of them women and children.
Nevertheless, it was and is taboo in the West to seriously criticize Israel for this or to accuse Israel of war crimes, crimes against humanity or even genocide against the Palestinians. Incidentally, crimes against humanity are also clearly defined; you can read about this in Article 7 of the Rome Statute , which is, however, too long to quote here. Much of what is listed in Article 7 of the Rome Statute accurately characterizes Israel's decades-long actions against the Palestinians.
But Western countries have turned a blind eye to all this for decades. The human rights that are supposedly so sacred to the collective West when it comes to Russia, China, Iran, Syria, Venezuela and so on apparently do not apply to the Palestinians from the perspective of the US-led West.
The masks have fallen
Now members of the Israeli government have dropped the masks. I have already shown several times that the actions of the Israeli army, which Israel and the West describe as “self-defense,” actually amount to ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip . And at the beginning of December 2023, the UN officially declared that Israeli “self-defense” was in fact “ the largest expulsion of the Palestinian people since 1948 ,” but there was no outcry from Western media and governments.
Western media also did not consider the fact that Israel had already granted six Western companies licenses for gas production in waters that belong to Gaza on October 30th to be worth reporting, although Israel has already officially announced that it assumes that After his “self-defense” there will no longer be a Palestinian administration in Gaza.
Anyone who spoke about these things was (and is) accused of anti-Semitism in the West. But this is now becoming more difficult, because Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has now spoken out in favor of the “resettlement” of Israelis in the Gaza Strip. He has also openly said that he wants to drive the Palestinians from their homeland. He said on December 31 that if Israel does things “right,” there will be an “exodus” of Palestinians “and we will live in the Gaza Strip.” And he also said:
“We will not allow a situation where two million people live there.”
When Spiegel reported on it, the Spiegel editorial team managed the feat of not criticizing this open announcement of genocide and ethnic cleansing in its article .
Smotrich's statement is by no means the opinion of a crackpot, because the awarding of the gas production licenses off Gaza by Israel and the actions of the Israeli army, which first drove the Palestinians from the north of the Gaza Strip to the south and is now also attacking the south at the same time that it is demanding that Egypt open its borders so that it can expel the Palestinians into Egypt, confirm that the plans to ethnically cleanse the Gaza Strip are the policies implemented by Israel.
Netanyahu's pride
On December 17, the Times of Israel reported on statements made by Prime Minister Netanyahu that the German media did not consider worthy of mention. Netanyahu said at a press conference at the Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv that he was "proud" of having prevented the creation of a Palestinian state and claimed credit for "slowing down" the Oslo peace process:
“I am proud that I prevented the creation of a Palestinian state, because today, after seeing the small Palestinian state in Gaza, everyone knows what that Palestinian state could have been. Everyone knows what would have happened if we had capitulated to international pressure and allowed such a state to exist in Judea and Samaria, around Jerusalem and on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.”
The fact that Netanyahu also expects that there will be no more Palestinians in Gaza after Israel's "self-defense" became clear when he also rejected the Palestinian Authority taking control of the Gaza Strip after the end of the war. In doing so, he went against the official position of the USA and said that “among friends it is important not to create illusions”. Netanyahu even described the Oslo peace agreement as a “fatal mistake.”
The West loses
The apparent double standards of the West, which demonizes Russia over Ukraine but supports Israel in its genocide, is isolating the West on the world stage. This was evident, for example, in mid-December, when the UN General Assembly voted for a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict area. An overwhelming majority of 153 states, including Russia, voted in favor of the document. Only ten countries, including Israel and the USA, voted against it. 23 countries, including Great Britain, Germany and Ukraine, abstained from voting.
The UN General Assembly also rejected a US amendment calling for condemnation of the Palestinian Hamas movement. And she also rejected an Austrian amendment that noted that Hamas and other groups were holding hostages.
Such UN resolutions are not binding and they usually do not have serious consequences. Still, the resolution was important because it showed how isolated the collective West is from the rest of the world.
The current East-West conflict, which the West is waging militarily against Russia in Ukraine and economically against China, will be won by the side that the global South takes. The global south has long been fed up with the West's political patronage and economic exploitation, but fear of war or sanctions has forced the global south to submit.
The fact that Russia has shown in the wake of the escalation in Ukraine that the West is not all-powerful has given courage to the global South. This could be clearly observed at the G20 meetings in 2022 and 2023, because in 2022 the global south submitted to pressure from the West and condemned Russia's actions in Ukraine. In 2023, however, the global South defied the West and refused to even put the issue of Ukraine on the agenda at the G20 summit.
The fact that the West openly supports Israel's war crimes has further accelerated the global South's turn away from the US-led West. Nobody in the global south still listens when the West babbles about human rights and values, because Western double standards have now exceeded every limit of decency.
