{UAH} Dissidence, aggression, and bribery can't weaken Bobi Wine and his party.

Dissidence, aggression, and the blind use of finances for political motives have proved to be a very low key strategy to shake and dissipate Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi's very deep influence not only on the local Ugandan political scene but also on the entire world scene.
The very recently internationally awarded Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi returns to Uganda at the time when regime-backed manoeuvres intended to sweep away the National Unity Platform are being actively set into gear. But the superficial manoeuvres are proving to be illogical and very strongly artificial before a resolved NUP and its very internationally charismatic leader who impresses everywhere just as he did in his recent tour abroad where he received awards  and accolades. And while still there, his deputy and the executive very soundly stood their ground on an issue which the regime wanted to use to sort of break the  firmly grounded NUP. And that was the currently very hotly debated question about the 500m/= which the former LOP  received as a tribute for his services during his office tenure. A thing which the party leader himself  and the party in general oppose and take for a semblance of corruption that violates the NUP constitution and its firmly established tradition. Former LOP Mathias Mpuuga seems thrown into isolation and can only  count on the support of another apparent loner, Dr Abed Bwanika, for his defence. And the two now appear thrusted into a quagmire when on the one hand they say that they belong to NUP which they can't quit and which they want to reform, and on the other hand they give the impression of wanting to form a new party. The two politicians, together with those that tend to sympathize with them, are now being enticed to fall into a ditch filled with serious mistakes and big blunders. Systematically talking against Bobi Wine and NUP these people have committed many political mistakes. Mistake number one, failure to respect Bobi Wine the de facto head of a party that succeeded to supplant Museveni and his NRM in the last polls. He's already the country's mightiest politician whose effort and  influence have  created to fame all leading NUP members including Parliamentarians, Mpuuga and Bwanika included! Mistake number two, failure to understand the political philosophy of Buganda in particular. Buganda is very strongly aggrieved by the big number of her youths kept indefinitely in prisons and torture chambers, and for no reason at all safe for their loyalty to Kyagulanyi and his NUP.And in addition, there is the nasty question of land-grabbing which has left many in isolation and total abandonment in full vagrancy; There are also other forms of injustice which are again prevalent in all parts of Uganda. And there is also the question of some bad attitude and non respect towards the Kabaka. And there are also other major questions  to look at. And it's because of them that NRM has lost support in Buganda! When Mpuuga and Bwanika stand up in Masaka and state that there was no kkunga ( NUP mobilization favourable to Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi) in Masaka, but at the same time cheer Gen Muhoozi's entry in Masaka , they land on a very serious miscalculation! Both politicians are now showing loyalty to a very powerful general who hasn't used his influence to ease things for the many detained Baganda youths,  and hasn't come out to condemn the kidnaps through the drones, a notable policy mainly exercised in Buganda, and hasn't shown clearly his position on land grabbing and on illegal settlements of aliens in Buganda...That's why that project was almost fruitless....and it pushed both politicians to great political negatives. The kkunga programme is actively live in Masaka and very popularly supported there  Nobody can stop it. Its overall impact was visibly responsible for the Mpuuga / Bwanika failed project last weekend .And that's Masaka, a no-nonsense place where politics is always treated with very great open maturity! Mistake number three was therefore that failure by the two Masaka politicians to know outright what Masaka has always stood for and what it continues to stand for. One can
mislead anywhere but not in a politically mature place like Masaka. The two politicians have now one option left, that's to shelter in violence by using the security forces. And any open mind sees this at work when it will be  question of Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi accepting  any political invitation in Masaka to  mobilize for the kkunga project. Won't the security forces be called into action to bar crowds from assembling at the chosen venue? I'm sure this time, with all international accolades on his shoulders, Kyagulanyi is likely to smash all records in Masaka. It won't surprise to count  on a turnout estimated at 100.000 minimum!  All coming freely on their personal accord.Kyagulanyi and NUP are the patrons of Masaka,  an area now facing injustice thru land grabbing, thru illegal settlements, and thru  all sorts of programmed  injustice, but the two politicians have never voiced out any strong visible condemnation  of those evils affecting the welfare of the people in the area. It's in this wrong
outlook in perspective that the two politicians ( and their similar colleagues ) have committed
mistake number four! Mistake number five is in their failure to judge themselves correctly within the context  they are now placed in. What do they now want to become when NUP may hesitate to accept them back? Are they going to form a political party or to join one of the existing ones, notably NRM and FDC? For the time being nobody knows  what their next political ambition is.  And will they try to undermine Kyagulanyi and his NUP  as some observers do notice? Will any mission to undermine Kyagulanyi and his party  fetch rewards for them? No! This would be capital mistake number six. Museveni himself with his mighty machinery based on money, security forces, local administrators, deep propaganda,  and all kinds of political aggression including torture in prisons and  torture chambers has failed to bring down Kyagulanyi and NUP.Why? Simply because Museveni is dealing with a very intelligent young class fully determined and resolved to go forward with their ideas which have remarkably endeared them to an oppressed public. Determination and resolution are some of the key aspects that will one day bring these young politicians in power, since they helped them to sweep  the last national polls. A humiliation which still pushes NRM to persecute Uganda's youths and to deny them feasible chances for development. And the current national affair presently going on is another humiliation to NRM and its hierarchy. We have the newly founded NUP  which is finding good solutions to battle an evil which has been gnawing the entire system of the nation's moral fibre  for almost forty years. Hats off to Kyagulanyi and team! And congs to all those bitterly opposed to all sorts of regime misconduct. What's now left with these people is to play on people's emotions through roles pertaining to diversion. The recent cabinet reshuffle is part of this diversionary method. People will dwell on this for weeks and weeks and will end by enclosing themselves  into that diversion. The Mpuuga / Bwanika issue is also being programmed to end into a permanent diversion. The regime wants all talk about Kyagulanyi's triumph abroad take to an inferior grade. They are saddened to see how Kyagulanyi is regularly outpacing heads of state in celebrity almost worldwide. While Kyagulanyi continues his glorious climb others are  soon to face ICC questionnaires on murder, kidnaps, torture,  and the unjustified imprisonment of the innocent, etc... One can see, in another perspective, how the support of dissidence, aggression, torture, and all types of ill-tratment carried out thanks to the senseless use of money and official state funds have in fact failed to to pull down Kyagulanyi and his party but instead helped to foster and to heighten higher and higher his prestige and that of his party! Systems and cheap childish manoeuvres will always prove to be weak in the face of a very popularly supported politician like Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi.Nobody is ever stronger than the people's will and determination. Institutionalized murder, torture, detention, open tribal discrimination and segregation will never  triumph in a serious-minded nation like Uganda!
