Texas Seizes Enough Fentanyl To Wipe Out America And Mexico – Here’s How They Did It!

According to Newsweek, Texas authorities have successfully intercepted over 504 million lethal doses of Fentanyl, a potent opioid, in the past three years, preventing its distribution across the United States.

This achievement is attributed to the joint efforts of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Texas National Guard under Operation Lone Star, an initiative launched in 2021 to tackle illegal immigration at the southern border.

Governor Greg Abbott of Texas, in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, stated, "Texas has seized over HALF A BILLION doses of deadly fentanyl under Operation Lone Star. That's enough to kill every man, woman, and child in the United States and Mexico—COMBINED." This operation has also resulted in the apprehension of 514,500 illegal immigrants and over 44,300 criminal arrests, leading to more than 38,700 felony charges.

The release of this data comes amidst an ongoing dispute between Abbott and President Biden over the best approach to manage the southern border, which is currently grappling with a Fentanyl crisis and a record number of illegal migrant crossings. Abbott's office has criticized Biden's "open border" policies, asserting that every ounce of drugs seized by Texas officials would have otherwise infiltrated Texas and the rest of the nation.

Governor Abbott has been a vocal critic of the Fentanyl crisis. In July of last year, he launched a Texas Fentanyl data dashboard, providing Texans with access to data on fentanyl-related deaths in the state. "More than five Texans die every day from deadly Fentanyl, and Texas continues to ramp up our efforts to combat the growing Fentanyl crisis plaguing our state and the nation," Abbott stated. He urged Texans to unite in raising awareness about this lethal opioid within their families, friends, and communities.

In addition to his stance on the drug crisis, Abbott has also expressed disapproval of President Biden's proposed plans to permit undocumented immigrants with U.S. spouses to legally work in the country while seeking citizenship. Abbott, a staunch supporter of former President Trump, views this as a ploy by Biden to curry favor with Latino voters ahead of the upcoming election. "President Biden's mass amnesty announcement is blatantly illegal and is a desperate pandering for votes in his failing reelection bid," Abbott declared.

He further criticized Biden's amnesty proposal, comparing it to former President Obama's DAPA and DACA proposals, and predicted that it would be struck down by the courts. Abbott argued that it is Congress, not the President, who has the authority to make or change immigration laws. He accused Biden of exacerbating the border crisis and warned that his amnesty proposal would serve as a magnet for illegal migrants. "President Biden needs to stop rewriting immigration law and start enforcing it," Abbott concluded.

The White House has been contacted for comment via email. As the debate over border control and the Fentanyl crisis continues, the search for common ground remains a priority.
