Texas Democratic delegate robbed at gunpoint near DNC in Chicago

A member of the Texas Democratic Delegation was robbed at gunpoint in downtown Chicago early Wednesday.

The victim – who was in the Windy City for the Democratic National Convention this week – was walking with a friend near the Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel Chicago when they were targeted by the gunman wearing a ski mask, CWBChicago reported.

The gunman allegedly approached the pair just moments after he pulled up across the street in a black Range Rover and robbed a 25-year-old man of his wallet and hotel room key, the outlet said.

No injuries were reported.

The Chicago police issued an alert for the robbery suspect and an accomplice Thursday morning.

The suspects are described as two men between 5’7” and 5’9” tall.

Chicago Police did not immediately respond to The Post’s inquiries about the incident.
