Plane makes emergency landing in Norway

A passenger plane en route from Oslo to Amsterdam made an emergency landing at Torp Airport in Norway. There were more than 180 people on board, reports VG.

"A passenger plane traveling from Oslo to Amsterdam made an emergency landing at Torp Airport following a hydraulic failure," the police statement said.

"Smoke has been seen from their left engine, so just stay ready," the tower communication stated.

Recent plane accidents worldwide

As reported earlier, an Air Canada plane caught fire during landing in Canada. The aircraft struck its wing on the runway. The Air Canada PAL Airlines flight AC2259 was traveling from St. John's to Halifax.

Additionally, on December 29, a plane crash occurred in South Korea. The aircraft overshot the runway and crashed. Most of those onboard (175 passengers and six crew members) lost their lives.
