The former FDC presidential contestant Dr Kiizza Besigye has said that he will soon visit his former Aide Mugumya who is jailed in the Democratic Republic of Congo city of Kinshasa.
Dr Besigye was officiating as the Chief Guest at the Thanks giving ceremony of Rugyeyo sub county C/M Julius Tukamushaba in kanungu district.
He said that he has talked to Mugumya's lawyer based in France who assured him about his good health.
Besigye is hopeful that justice will prevail and Mugumya will be set free.
Dr Besigye took time his time to mingle with the people of Kanungu whom he described as his good supporters.
Besigye was accompanied by FDC national mobilization Secretary Ingrid Turinawe and Buhweju MP Hon Francis Mwijukye.
Kinkizi Diocese Bishop Dan Zoreka
hailed Besigye for pursuing peaceful means to seek political change in Uganda without resorting to violence in the many years he has been in opposition.
The function was attended by a cross section of people including NRM leaders hailing from Kanungu District.
