{UAH} Salva Kiir Fires Powerful Army Chief Gen Malong

The South Sudan President, Salva Kiir has fired powerful SPLA Chief of Staff, Gen. Paul Mawan Malong.
Kiir who is also the Commander-in-Chief issued a a customary Presidential Decree on Tuesday evening aired on the national broadcaster, SSTV.
Gen. Malong, a close ally of Kiir, has consequently been replaced by Gen. James Ajongo Mawut.
Mawut has been SPLA Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Administration and Finance.
