PARLIAMENT OKS PAYING UGANDAN TRADERS WHO LOST IN SOUTH SUDAN
Parliament has, this afternoon, passed a resolution allowing
Government of Uganda to pay Ugandan traders who had business with
Government of South Sudan but could not pay them because of the state
of the war.
Following a memorandum of understanding between Government of Uganda
and Government of South Sudan signed in 2010 and 2016, Government of
Uganda will pay and Government of South Sudan will pay Government of
Uganda later.
The house is chaired by Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah and business continues.
