[UAH] Fwd.e.d, on 'paper' citizenships & the ORIGIN issue
Fwd.ed, on 'paper' citizenships & the ORIGIN issue
: I asserted - and I repeat - that a person has no reason
to be ashamed of having an ape for a grandfather. If
there were ancestors of whom I should fee ashamed
in recalling, then it would rather be a human being
beings of restless and versatile intellect - who not
content with equivocal success in own sphere of
activity, plunges into scientific questions with which
they have no real acquintance, only to obscure them
by aimless rhetoric, and distract attention of the
hearers of the real point of the issue... by eloquent
digressions and skilled appeals to religious prejudice...
- T.H.Huxley 1825 - 1895 replying to Bishop Wilberforce
Samuel in a heated debate on Darwin's theory of evolution
during the Oxford meeting of the British Association
on 30 june 1860.
