[UAH] Human wildlife conflicts

one of chimpanzee in Kibale district attacked a child in returns the residents in the area killed the chimp and roasted its meat for source human wildlife conflict is one of major challenge we people in conservation face. In Uganda tourism is the major source of foreign currency in the country and the main tourist attraction in the country are gorillas and chimpanzees the cause of human wildlife conflicts is deforestation as a result of increased population people tend to cut down the forest which is natural habitat for the chimps this makes not only chimps but also other wildlife to lose their habitats hence forcing them to come into peoples homes or garden
people living near forest should know that we and wildlife needs one another this is what is known as symbiosis
Back to Kibale case the residents seems to have over reacted meanwhile attack on human is bad, roasting chimpanzee is not a solution either two wrongs can't make one good residents
other than reducing number of chimps in the wild another great problem associated with slaughtering chimpanzee is diseases. there is high chances of getting diseases from this animals including rabies, hypothesis A and B, ebola, marburgs or even HIV among others, these diseases are more dangerous than chimp attacks
