Police at Entebbe Airport have arrested a Guinean national with drug pellets stuffed in pieces of latex condoms he had swallowed.
The man identified as Alpha Kamara was intercepted on today, Saturday, at 8:00am on his arrival at Entebbe aboard an Emirates flight.
The security team administered a vomiting routine check to the suspect, which induced him to defecate a condom stuffed with several pellets.
He was later moved to Entebbe Hospital to consult medical personnel on how to remove the remaining pellets from his body.
Tinka Zarugaba, the head of intelligence at Entebbe Airport, said the suspect will be charged with narcotics and drug trafficking as soon as all the substances are released from his body.
According to Police, Kamara pleaded for mercy saying it was his first time to carry drugs into the country.
His flight records show that he had left Panama to Uganda, and Police are investigating possible connections to individuals in Kampala.
