Following his elevation from a sub-General to full capacity, General
Kale Kayihura strolled with friends and well-wishers from the ceremony
grounds at Mbuya hill to his office along Parliament Avenue in
Kampala. His detractors decorated the fleeting show of swag with
unflattering language, prompting him to respond thus:
"Am very sad to read this cynicism. You mean a person in this country
cannot be genuinely happy?!"
