[UAH] COMRADE CHRISTINE KALUMA

I first met Christine Nabakooza Kaluma when she was Director of Youth at National Resistance Movement Secretariat in Kampala.

Heads would turn at the measured clip of her heels, the elegant poise. And when she began delivering a lecture, all would be spell-bound!

We were attending a rally by FDC leader Dr. Kizza Besigye in Waltham, Massachusetts when we saw Christine again. This was after a break of over 15 years and she was still the vivacious, brilliant lawyer, although age was working against both of us.

I have shared the sad news with Maj. Alfie Kamusaala and other veterans of National Leadership Institute Kyankwanzi and at National Secretariat for Patriotism Clubs, under her former fellow NRM director Lt. Col. Henry Masiko and we only say alutta continua!

I share my last moments with Comrade Christine with you as captured in those 2007 pictures. May her soul rest in eternal peace!
