Can't Uganda Start Producing Gas from Oil wells?!
In Tanzania they do!
Just recently Shell Uganda CEO Mr. Kayonkya explained that Gas prices would go up by thousands of shillings.
I was thorough surprised by this move, however given that shell is a commercial business it was understandable that state officials fund it unnecessary not to comment about this act. After all many a citizen can continue with their charcoal burning.
What I understand from oil exploitation is that gas is produced in massive quantities. Then why should people continue cutting down trees and this gas just being burnt off not given to oil trading companies to help alleviate fuel issue in the country.
Uganda policy makers are really surprising
