Dr. Nsaba Buturo as Kampala district commissioner in 1984 at William Street mosque. Controversial at the time for allegedly turning a blind eye to human rights abuses of Kampala residents where 'kandoya' was the order of the day, Buturo would earn further ridicule for suggesting a ban on miniskirts in 2011 though i supported him on this. Yes, mini skirts should be banned in Uganda if possible.

2.President Binaisa swearing in 1979. He was sworn in by Justice Wako Wambuzi. He is famous for saying: 'ENTEBBE EWOMA'
3.Boniface Byanyima, one-time National Chairman of the Democratic Party in Uganda, and mentor of President Yoweri Museveni, upto a point. He is the father of Winnie Byanyima, a woman of many achievements and firsts in her own right. He is the father in law to Dr.Kiiza Besigye
4.Tumusiime-Rushedge commonly known as Tom Rush or the Old Fox or simply Ekanya. A multi-talented man who was a doctor, writer, pilot, island owner among his many pursuits and interests. Who can forget his cartoons that did everything from make fun of politicians to educate the masses about STDs. His daughter continues his legacy in the New Vision Ekanya cartoons.Nothing attracted me more in The New Vision between 1997 and 1999 than "Tom Rush's Escapades". It was always an educative Read. Though there was Samuel Apedel's "A Week that Was", Robert "Kabushenga's Thoughts", and, of-course Buwembo's then-not-so-easy-to understand language, Rush's escapades always appealed to a young teenager that I was. I have very fond memories of some of those readings
