Folks;
COO's poultry and produce recommendation to solving Africa's perennial teachers' strikes is worthy reading. But he professes astonishment as to why volunteers with non-teaching credentials are not allowed to teach in primary school.
The answer is simple: elementary school pupils need trained hands to mold their minds. Higher grade students are considered "mentally mature" to discern out-of-the box lessons that untrained teachers are wont to experiment in classrooms.
