[UAH] Kenya And Uganda Ranked Among Top 10 Most Corrupt Countries......Corruption will never be stamped out

Corruption in Uganda is the most serious unethical practice undermining trust and confidence in most public institutions including the police. You are driving through the streets of Kampala and suddenly a traffic police officer waves you down.He immediately notices that the side-mirror on the passenger's side is missing. He threatens to give you a penalty ticket that costs USh50,000 ($25).

But because you understand "the policeman's language", you dig into your purse and discreetly squeeze a USh10,000 note ($5) into his palm. They call it "kitu kidogo" a Swahili word for a bribe, literary meaning "something small".And that solves the problem. But an act of corruption has just occurred; an act that has become a way of life in the East African country where bribing a traffic policeman is cheaper than facing the long arm of the law.

One can try and get on or live by principles...these guys are ruthless...either you pay them a small sum or you will get into more trouble and end up paying more...One guy arrived in Uganda without the correct vaccination...was asked for a 10$ bribe....he refused so guy said ok we have to vaccinate you and keep you in quarantine for 7 days...and produced a large syringe used for animals filled with dirty water...asked the guy to drop his trousers...and you know what ?...he soon forgot all his principles and ended up paying the guy 100$...

Corruption in Uganda is the most serious unethical practice undermining trust and confidence in most public institutions including the police. The discovery of mass amounts of oil in Venezuela hastened its slide into corruption and by the 1970s the petroleum sucked from the ground was called "the Devil's excrement" by Venezuelans. Uganda is about experience that.we can call it "Devil's Charoni".

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that  we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic  and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
