[UAH] Kenya places security agencies under one roof
Folks;
The decision by Kenya's government to put all its intelligence agencies under one roof is evidence that this government needs adult supervision. Someone should step in and rescind this scatter-brain idea.
Imagine an Al Quaeda-style bomb attack, and Kenya will lose all its valuable intelligence services in one go.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph ole Lenku said National Intelligence Service, National Police, Criminal Investigations Department and former Provincial Commissioners will be housed at the building to help in coordinating operations.
"This will be a single point of operations for our security agencies and we wish to warn criminals we are not joking for now," he said. Lenku added the move to consolidate all units of the security agencies will also help cut down costs of operations.
The Cabinet Secretary said the Inspector General and his two deputies will also move to the office block. So far, workers who had been operating from Jogoo House A, which was formerly the Office of the Vice-President, have been ordered to vacate.
Single visa
Lenku made the remarks at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport after arriving from Burundi where he went to attend a meeting on East Africa Community that discussed the issue of a single visa for the region.
Secretary to the Cabinet Francis Kimemia said a committee has been formed to oversee the movement of staff from the building to another.
He said some workers at Jogoo House would be moved to Prisons headquarters while others will be informed of available space in other Government buildings.
"We started with Jogoo House because the Inspector General of Police has to be in the same building with his deputies, which was not the case before," Kimemia said.
The team is chaired by Mr Stephen Kirogo and is mandated with streamlining Government housing of officers.
