Museveni wants more industries for job creation

President Yoweri Museveni has Wednesday commissioned the Kayunga Industrial Development Park LTD factory at Bukolooto in Kayunga district during which he witnessed the production of bar soap and the processing of cooking oil from ground nuts
.

The President said the factory was a starting point towards the launching of Industrial parks in the district, adding that this will help create employment for the people.

The President who was touring Kayunga district on a fact finding mission to enable government solve increasing land wrangles made a stopover at Kayunga Town Council and called on the people to always stick to the truth and avoid violence in their efforts to settle disputes. 

President Museveni warned against giving false information to public officers and emphasized that in any land transactions the principal of `willing buyer and willing seller' must be respected. 

"Am here and I am investigating the land disputes at hand and I will soon find a solution," he said.  

He commended the state minister for lands, Aidah Nantaba for being among the leaders supporting the poor but cautioned the people not to mislead her as she performs her duty. 

He pledged to upgrade Kayunga Hospital and to give them at least one more tractor in an effort to enhance agricultural production in the area. He thanked them for supporting the Movement.

Minister Nantaba thanked the President for the proposed construction of a cosmetics industry in the district and the rehabilitation of Kayunga-Galiraya road. She also hailed government for providing electricity to Nazigo and Busaana and for providing a new ferry in the area.
