{UAH} UNAA LEAKS/COUNTER-ACCUSATIONS

For those that got lost among the numerous emails, here is a summary of what has come out so far (based on various "leaks/exposes" and pleas for "unity"):

1. the email exchange is between surrogates of Team Kwesiga and Team Senoga.  I've no surrogates and I make my own statements. Since I am leading a team of outsiders, my team has not made any comments about this matter (we've nothing to leak).

2. these 2 teams used to belong to the same team but they squabbled over money at the end of the Denver convention in 2011. One team broke away and formed Team Kwesiga (a member of the UNAA Board of Trustees claimed to have been grooming Brian for 4 yrs). But I am glad the leaks came out..."bukookolo bugeyana" (i.e 2 people with cancer are gossiping about each other...). May be we should have elections every three months. At this rate of leaks/accusations/counter accusations, we'll get more information about the behavior of UNAA leaders for the past few years! No-wonder one of them (Tim) said on this forum that I should not run because I have not been part of the leadership!
3.  UNAA's constitution (Article  11.6) provides that upon receipt of a written request, the Secretary shall promptly mail to any Member in Good Standing a copy of the most recent audited Financial Report.
Article 11.7 provides that the books and records of the Association shall be open to inspection by any Member in Good Standing upon written request submitted to the Secretary. Several members in good standing, including myself, have sent written requests for the Financial Report but the Treasurer and the Secretary have not said anything about this matter. They have not eve n bothered to acknowledge receipt of any member requests.
Meantime, after inundating us with hundreds of emails, the parties agreed that the matter should be taken behind closed doors (BoT, Council and Executive). They agreed that it was "bad" to discuss UNAA fiances on an exclusive forum of UNAA members!!!  Keep in mind that, based on the leaks, people on the BoT, Council and Executive have been ware of these matters for years!
4. Team Senoga accuses Mr Wilson of being behind the current leaks/exposes against Mr Senoga. Team Kwesiga accuses Mr Senoga of a cover up of financial books.
5. Team Kwesiga says that Mr Senoga lacks good judgment because he went against a majority vote of the Executive and convinced the Council to support his choice. Team Senoga points out that the constitution actually gives the Council the power to vote on the contracts. For some reason, the focus is on just Mr Senoga...there is NO focus on the all the other "experienced" members of the Council that voted 10-1 to support his decision. No one has yet to point out that Mr Senoga coerced the 10 people to agree with him (may be more leaks are coming?).
6. Team Senoga claims Mr Wilson paid himself after the Denver convention.
7. Team Kwesiga claims that Mr Senoga got monetary benefits off his (voluntary?) services for UNAA.  Mr Senoga says this money was compensation for his fundraising efforts. Leaked financials show this money is in the expense column (not in the income column) but Team Senoga says he donated it!
8. There is a 20% minimum benefit to anyone that brings a sponsor to UNAA.  UNAA leaders can take advantage of this too! e.g last year's financial books show that the govt of Ug gave 15k...whoever brought the deal got about 5k. This year, Mr Karuhanga was giving about 20,000 and UNAAs Secretary was going to take about 20-25%. It is not clear if UNAA reports this money to the IRS or it is tax free income to the deal makers.
9. It was revealed that the longest serving Treasurer in UNAA's history (Ms Brenda Kalema) did not give any files to the current Treasurer! It is not clear if the files are still in Brenda's possession or she destroyed them or they somehow got lost or if she even kept any files or if the dog ate them.
But it has been claimed that UNAA leaders lent money to UNAA. Without files, there is clearly no evidence of any claims and counter claims. Anti tugamba nti "ateesa n'Omufu..." (any verbal agreements with a dead person can't be disproved.  Thus, you can say whatever you want because there is no counter evidence).
