{UAH} VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Dear EC and the BOT,
Article 9.6 of UNAA's constitution provides, inter alia, that: The Electoral Commission shall:
set the deadline for registration for voting, which shall be no later than thirty (30) days prior to the election.

But the Election Commission now says that UNAA leadership can submit names up to August 28, 2013...barely THREE days before elections! One of the reasons for the above constitutional article requiring the EC to set a deadline of at least 30 days before election day, was to ensure that the EC and UNAA members have a clean voters' list (no mistakes, no ineligible voters, etc).

1. I don't think the EC has power to suspend the above constitutional provision (it can only be done via an amendment).

2. I don't think the EC and the members can have enough time to clean up the list if it is submitted barely 3 days to election day!

3. I strongly urge the EC to reverse this decision and confine themselves to the powers granted to them under the constitution.

4. Since we are s close to the constitutional deadline (August 1st), I request the BOT to weigh in  on this issue right away.

" Any UNAA member who is in good standing in accordance with the Constitution and whose name appears on the Roaster submitted to the Electoral Commission by the UNAA International Board by midnight on August 28, 2013, will be eligible to vote for any candidate of choice. "

YOU NEED TO PAY A MEMBERSHIP FEE TO VOTE. THE FEE IS $50 FOR NEW MEMBERS AND $20 FOR RENEWING MEMBERS. JUST PAYING FOR THE CONVENTION DOES NOT QUALIFY YOU BEWARE!!. YOU HAVE TO BE A PAID UP FULL MEMBER.

THE VOTING WILL BE AT THE UNAA-CONVENTION DALLAS TX.
