This is to inform all Muslims in Uganda that the Moon has been sighted.Eid-El-Fitri will therefore be observed tomorrow Thursday August 8th 2013.
I congratulate all of you upon fasting and completing the Holy month of Ramadhan. I wish all of you a happy Eid-El-Fitri and I urge you to celebrate in line with the Islamic teachings.
I also appeal to those of you who fasted to pay Zakatul-Fitri before the Eid prayers and to fast the six days of Shawwal.
