Africa's despotic leaders are openly anti-intellectual; they despise intellectuals and prefer the company and services of conmen, gunmen and witchdoctors. It was, therefore, not surprising that on December 10, 1990, dubbed "Black Monday" two students were killed in cold blood at Makerere by security agents! May the Lord grant their souls eternal life and punish the lawless gunmen who violated their right to life!
