{UAH} More Details About Kasirye's House

This house was the residence of the Gombolola chief of Makindye and the Gombolola offices are the current Makindye barracks. After 1966 the house was taken by Obote govt and rented to a British cotton marketing company called Label.

When Label moved out of Uganda,( mid 70's) two Kenyan 'chancers' made a fake title. They were called Gilbert Ochwada and Alphonse Odido. Odido moved into the house until maybe 1985 when the current govt took it over and made it into a safe house.

Kasirye found out or knew the history of the house and obtained a 49 year lease from Buganda Land Board the true owners. The woman claiming the house has to be a member of either Ochwada or Odido the original thieves who made the fake title. Odido died in Nairobi some years back and maybe Ochwada too.

Kasirye has been living in this house for 26 years.
