{UAH} REMEMBERING THOSE IN THE RPF YET THERE ARE/ WERE UGANDANS@M7 BEFORE HE DIES.YES, HE WILL DIE......BETTER SAY IT NOW WHEN HE'S STILL ALIVE!

1.Maj. Dr. Peter Bayingana: this picture means "sacrifice", "patriotism" and "heroism", I believe. Dr Bayingana was young, intelligent, caring, combatant and a true revolutionary. He had a good job in Nairobi left everything and joined NRA in the name of the love he had for his country and his people. Through NRA was the only to way to able him to fight and save his country. He was a fighter and life saving as a Doctor. What breaks my heart is thinking of where we would be if. the lives of these young intelligent, combatant and true revolutionaries Folks were not taken away from us. God loves the best ones . He once worked at Republic House in Uganda. Dr. Major Bayingana you shall be always remembered. RIP

2. Maj Gen.Fred Gisa Rwigyema:Acted in the manner of a lamb and accomplished the feats of a lion. A selfless man who offered himself to die such that his country men could live in harmony, liberty, peace and justice. You will always be remembered by all concerned Rwandans and Africans at for your Patriotism and good heart!! RIP Rwigema

2(b)The one in white is late Maj. Gen. Fred Rwigema. This was during the liberation struggle in Uganda."Rwigyema was one of the best fighters/ commanders I had come across. For a long time he was our army commander but, somehow others took over"- Pg.123 in the book: 'Betrayed by My leader' by John Kazoora.

3.Late Lt Col. Kareba:Late Kareba was a respectful man and Soldier, very quite.Lt.Col Kareba he was born and grow up in now Rushenyi Ntungamo District. He was born kamanzi and acquired the name Kareba in 1979 when he joined FRONASA in Kyamate.

6.Lt Gen Kayonga Charles:He is A true Revolutionary Gen by merit!May God continue to keep him despite the damage M7 has done in Uganda.

7.col.patrick lumumba and maj.tumusiime koozi:Koozi was given a Luwero triangle Medal recently by M7.Such young people who did a lot before they hit 30 years THOUGH M7 has betrayed the revolution. What is happening in Uganda is not what they fought for, but their country has atleast benefited from Kagame

8.MAJOR GENERAL PAUL KAGAME PUTTING HIS TROOPS IN THE MOOD BEFORE THEY HEADED TO KIGALI TO DESTROY HABYARIMANA. Most of these in the picture were in NRA before they started their own revolution.

Col Gashumba Tadeo:

12.
Late Musana. He died before the war ended but as you can see, he is putting on a Uganda army uniform

13. Ivan Koreta: He is a Rwandese but chose to stay in
Uganda. He commands so much respect in Rwanda especially among the RPF. He is a man of steal and has lived his revolutionary days. He is currently an Ambassador to unknown destination...! He was Ex late Fred rwigyema's wedding best man. He trained with Gen. Sejusa in Mozambique and have been 2gther through all wars.  He is an an officer and a gentleman.I think him,Gen Elly Tumwine and Salim Saleh are the only surviving group of Mozambique and still working for M7.Tumwine joined in 1979 during FRONASA days.Chefe Ali recruited them all.

Claiming that the election was rigged in Obote's favor by his henchman on the Military Commission, Museveni returned to the bush with 26 followers on February 6, 1981. From that small cluster of supporters he forged the National Resistance Arm-one of four rebel groups seeking to undermine the Obote regime. In Africa Report, Catharine Watson noted: "Museveni's force grew slowly, based in Luwero, a fertile coffee-growing region just north of Kampala. Highly disciplined, its soldiers were mostly peasants from the south and the west, its commanders mostly from the west." What made Museveni's army unique was its respect for the citizenry. Museveni decreed harsh punishments for any NRA soldier found guilty of brutality or corruption. The tactic endeared him to the populace, and soon young orphans were flocking to his flag and embracing his vision of a better Uganda.

When on Feb. 3, 1981 a group of rebels held a meeting at Mathew Rukikaire's house in Makindye to plan the first attack, they essentially launched the war that brought President Yoweri Museveni to power in 1986.The attack on Kabamba Military School was to enable the rebels get more guns. Although the rebels were 41, they onlyhad 27 guns and a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) that mysteriously disappeared before the attack. Of the 27 guns, sources say Julius Chihanda, who had been a junior officer in the Uganda National Liberation Army (UNLA) brought sixteen guns. The rebels who did not have guns were meant to carry the forces bounty after an attack. In his book, Sowing the Mustard Seed, President Yoweri Museveni says they used to call the unarmed carrier rebels `commandos' to make them feel as important as the fighters. This is why although there were 41 at the start of the war; the most renowned in the history of the National Resistance Army (NRA) are the historical 27 as they came to be known. Of the 27, only nine are still alive. These include; Gen. Yoweri Museveni, Gen. Elly Tumwine, Brig. Julius Kihande, Brig. Fred Mwesigye, Brig. Andrew Lutaaya, Jack Mucunguzi, Paul Kagame, Col. George Mwesigwa, and Col. Charles Tusiime Rutarago.

NRA's bush war began with an attack on an army installation in the central Mubende District on 6 February 1981. Museveni, who had guerrilla war experience with the Mozambican Liberation Front (FRELIMO) in Mozambique, and his own Front for National Salvation (FRONASA) formed in Tanzania to fight Idi Amin, campaigned in rural areas hostile to Obote's government, especially central and western Buganda and in the regions of Ankole and Bunyoro in western Uganda. Most of the battles were conducted by small mobile units which were designated as "A" Coy commanded by Steven Kashaka, "B" Coy under Joram Mugume, and "C" Coy under Pecos Kuteesa. The commander of these forces was Fred Rwigyema, assisted by Salim Saleh, Museveni's brother. There were three small zonal forces –Lutta Unit in the areas of Kapeeka, Kabalega Unit in the areas near Kiwoko, and Nkrumah Unit in the areas of Ssingo.
