Uganda is indeed growing very fast.
In last Sunday's new vision - there was a story of vehicles being stolen from Britain, Australia, South Africa ending up in Uganda. Now Ugandan's can also enjoy driving a Mercedes albeit stolen and registered as a Toyota salon! You can also drive a jaguar and call it a Honda. No taxes and hassles. Now interpol has made sweeping harvest of these vehicles. Many abalyakassi (spenders) have hidden them away - but intepol is on their heals.
It has started raining hope Ugandans will stop eating grass – good heavens Africans! Three days ago, meteorologist said Uganda should not expect rain not until September. That very night it rained cats and dogs. Science failed this time around - don't mind it is Uganda once again.
Depressing – not really!
Ugandans, if Hannah did not know, are a depressed lot. Where there is depression that is where you find mind boggling murders. Cutting your wife's head off. Throwing your kid in a toilet or fire. These and many are taking place here in Uganda at an alarming rate. Someone enters someones house kills the husband and mother, just slitting the throat.
