{UAH} Bantariza faces new charges
The former deputy director of the government Media Centre, Col Shaban Bantariza, who was charged with fraud, is set to face new charges, the court martial heard yesterday.
Prosecution led by Capt Fredrick Kangwamu, told the Makindye-based General Court Martial that they had discovered new offences against Col Bantariza which require them to amend the charge sheet.

"Upon perusing the evidence, we have discovered that some other offences were discovered in the process. I pray that court grant us leave to allow us amend the charge sheet to include them," said CaptKangwamu without revealing the charges.
Col Bantariza, also the former head of the National Leadership Institute yesterday appeared before the court chaired by Brig Moses Ddiba Sentongo.

He is charged jointly with Capt Edison Muhiribwoha, who has since been summoned to court.
Meanwhile, Brig Sentongo has set October 3 for hearing of the case.
