{UAH} KK@YOU ARE EITHER WITH US OR AGAINST US?

Guys,
When i bash Museveni or NRM (i always fails to draw the distinction) and his unworkable policies on this forum, i am cheered like there is no tomorrow. When i acknowledge some of his accomplishments or take sides with him in a dichotomous debate/discourse- then i have been bought, ati i want a brown envelope blah blah! I think Andrew Mwenda is right to draw the conclusions he draws on the Ugandan elite!!

Can you imagine that even Gen.KK at some point accused me of only portraying the govt as bad? People like Robert Arinaitwe aren't helpful at all in either situations. I guess there are no grey shades in our politics. It's either black or white, but there are some aspects where there is the choice between right or wrong, many times i have seen the majority take the wrong decision!!

It's as though being a critic means never acknowledging the fact that there are some areas in which great success has been registered. You are always expected to be closed-minded and see everything as bad. For example, I'm opposed to General KK or any military man heading the police but at the same time I acknowledge the good that KK has done in the police.

With the groups on this forum, You are either fully with us or against us. We dont tolerate divergent views. That is typical of our society. When u hate someone there cant be anything good about them. And i think the problem is that most people look at issues from a narrow sense, people do not read, do not research and therefore this hampers their abilities to positively contribute, to them they follow Bush's philosophy that u are either with us or against us which is erroneous.

But we could also blame the political system more than our elites, for the single fact that they have only seen a system premised not on ideals and issues but patronage. The president is walking around with sacks of money and everybody in the NRM is looking to tap into it. That's why every time i post something attacking Museveni here, an Owana, Robert Atuhairwe, KK, e.t.c. do the usual thing,i.e. just attack the messenger instead of adding value to the debate. It's only Ahmed Katerega Musaazi who creates balance in his arguments. He at least sees some good things in both the NRM and opposition.

The issue is we need to appreciate the good in M7 whenever it comes out. You see managing a society is not as simple as making omnibus accusations, mob justice that opposition likes. We also need to appreciate the good in Besigye and the rest of the opposition.

There are facts that those supporting and opposing the govt must agree on. For instance,1-that GAVI funds were fleeced by M7's men and women is not up for debate, is it? sadly, it's not Besigye's men now making a case for more GAVI; it remains M7's men asking for more to fleece. 2-The NRM have never and were never revolutionaries and will never be. They( majority) went to Luwero to get into power to satisfy their own individual desires.3- NRM have been the most corrupt regime in the history of Uganda, e.t.c. Surely we can agree on somethings on this forum.
