{UAH} GTOOD JOB: Man chops off friend's hand over wife

MASINDI - A man who chopped off his friend's hand, accusing him of sleeping with his woman, was arrested by police after being stopped shot in flight by residents of his area.
Fredrick Ule, 27, and Alex Zuma, 25, of Kaborogota village, Pakaayi sub-county in Masindi district have been bossom friends from way back until the former started suspecting him of sleeping with his woman.
On the fateful day of Sunday, narrates Zuma, the two left his shop headed for home.
Zuma says he did not suspect anything and was caught unawares when Ule pulled a panga from the back of his shirt and stretched his arm all the way like a golfer about to tee off.
Ule swang the panga at his head but Zuma managed to guard with his arm. Clearly, he was going for his head.
As fate would have it, the panga caught his wrist and his hand fell off. "I then heard him say I have always slept with his woman -- which suprised me," Zuma said.
The victim of the spine-ripping attack raised an alarm for help as he was in deep pain and residents rushed to his rescue and rushed him to the main hospital in Masindi.
Ule, who had fled after the commiting the heinous act, was arrested after residents got wind of the news that he had chopped off someone's arm and was in hiding.
The CIID boss Masindi, Kamisaafu Mugyenyi, said Ule was charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
