{UAH} 5 police officers convicted, dismissed for beating ex-Mukwano employee

 

Folks;

 

Here is another glimpse of hope in Uganda's judicial system.

 

Two days ago, a High Court made a brave ruling in favor of Kampala mayor, Erias Lukwago, against a bitter and belligerent government minister.

 

Today, we have this report about a Police Disciplinary Council convicting 5 of their own, and ordering their dismissal from the Force following the beating of an injured, ex-employee of Mukwano industries.

 

We were all revoluted here when news of the man's beating showed up the media.

 

Call me a sucker for good news, but these two developments are redemptive: They provide evidence that there's some justice still be found within our judicial systems.
