2.'Kabale-Masaka'. 1947:From these images and the related captions I get the sense that Mbarara was never an important town back then!! This image clearly refers to the highlands as you approach kabale but the road section is refered to as Kabale-Masaka Road. Today Mbarara is clearly more prominent than masaka. It goes to show the effect the birth place of our polital leaders have on the prominence of our towns. & Cities
