Police Flog Kyambogo Varsity Rioting Students like Goats as the Learners Stage a Violent Strike to Protest the weeks Long Lecturers’ Sit-down Strike

By Jemba Farid

The idle Kyambogo University Students today caused havoc by destroying the school property as they staged a violent strike to protest the continued lecturers ‘We Reject   Professor Ndiege’ strike.

Police responded with force, flogging students like cows, leaving many nursing wounds, with broken limbs and swollen bodies.

The students, in turn pelted police with stones and all sorts of objects, but the Kayihura kibooko-happy boys used the rare opportunity to thrash the students’ real hard, turning the campus into a sort of wrestling ring.

Police fought gallantly, throwing students out of lecture rooms where they had taken cover, dispersed them and finally over powered and arrested some.

It all started when Court allowed the university Vice Chancellor Prof. Ndiege to return to his office, something that angered the lecturers who accuse Ndiege of misappropriating the varsity funds as well as carrying himself like Napoleon.

The moment Ndiege stepped on the campus, lecturers locked the door to his office and threw the keys away, ensuring that the office-less Kenyan operated from the tree shade, till police came to his rescue.

The students sided with Ndiege desperate to earn what they paid exorbitant tuition for.  However, when the lecturers insisted on cutting lectures, the students finally lost patience and resorted to burning school property, light bonfires, shout their voices hoarse, and engaging in all sorts of chaos.
