{UAH} Sharing the 12th Edition of the Black Monday Newsletter
Dear Colleagues and Partners,
We are extremely excited to bring to you the 12th Edition of the Black Monday Newsletter.
You can find it on this link:http://ngoforum.or.ug/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2013/11/BM-Nov-2013-LOW-RES2.pdf
This 12th Edition focuses on oil and related governance challenges in the sector. It provides an expose' of the crossroad Uganda is facing in the wake of oil discovery amidst high levels of corruption and governance challenges.
The newsletter also brings you an interview with Hon. Theodre Ssekikubo (MP Lwemiyaga County) highlighting the early warning signs of oil discovery becoming a potential curse. Further the newsletter covers the laws governing the oil sector and related institutions. We also profile the government threats that are being experienced by NGOs working in the oil sector.
We are extremely grateful to the ActionAid International Uganda team and the Civil Society Coalition on Oil and Gas, Uganda (CSCO) members that supported the coordinating team to ensure that we have yet another edition of the Black Monday Newsletter.
We hope to insert the copies in one of the daily newspapers within this week for wider sharing. They will be some few copies available at the NGO Forum, ActionAid and other organizations that have been instrumental in spreading the newsletter countrywide.
The Civil Society Coalition on Oil and Gas, Uganda will be organizing a public action in line with the month's focus. They will keep us informed of the plans and how we can participate.
Let us all spread the word and share this edition as everyone has role to play in the fight against theft in Uganda.
