Detroit police: 3 killed, 4 wounded as gunfire erupts in area of strip mall on east side

DETROIT - Detroit police say three people have died and four others are wounded in a gun attack in a retail district on the city's east side.

Police spokeswoman Kelly Miner says the shooting happened about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The location is a strip mall along a major road. It wasn't immediately clear whether the shooting happened inside or outside a business.

Additional details about the shooting were not immediately available.
