{UAH} 27 years of political myopia – declare Uganda Neutral

Uganda is a failed state with no tangible social development, investment because of militarism. Sell off the presidential jet and reduce military spending as Japan and Sweden did. The money should be invested in prop people projects. Militarism has not reduced Ugandans misery and internal conflict.

Uganda is more at risk of internal and external conflict today than it has ever been in her existence.

All public institution must start research and implementing those research projects in key development areas. The same applies to reducing imports to 30% of the GDP for example

-           Research in energy efficient housing and stop Ugandan just building without standards

-          Research in fibre glass and solar energy generation

-          Research in alternative road construction technology to reduce cost by 60% per kilometre

-          Research  in tropical climate change focusing on soil health, forests and wetland conservation

-          Research in copper based communication infrastructure and super speed wireless integrated communication modems and television digital boxes

-          Increased funding in research in tropic herbal medicine

-          Increased funding for research on Tropic plants and fauna in Uganda

-          Research in body/blood cell –magnetic relation to rampant tropical disease

-           Research in alternative water production for town and cities instead of drawing water from normal sources

-          Research in wood pulp and wood to reduce plastic in the environment

-          Research in ceramics ballistics

How many foreign construction firms and research entities financed by developed countries are in Uganda and how much has the state of Uganda invested in her people using her own public entities to conduct research and product development?

All state corporate bodies; UNRA, UCC, UTL, NHCC, Uganda Railways Corporation, UET/DCL, NSSF, URC, ERA etc must create research and innovation centres linked to one or more pubic /private university. These must be compelled to design projects and implement them.

Instead of going to Congo to look for markets for Ankole meat (really!) – why didn't NRM do the following instead;

i.                     Fund NHCC and seek investment opportunities around Kinshasha, Lubumbashi, Mogadishu, to help  set up estates there. A small room in Kinshasha I am told is about 40 dollars per month – just a room. So NHCC can't buy land to provide housing?!

ii.                   Fund  UNRA and Makerere Engineering School today, to design and  construct roads,  in Southern Sudan, Congo, Rwanda, , Somalia to design and construct roads under very favourable bilateral conditions. If they refuse start with yours!

iii.                  UCC and Makerere computer science school would be investing in spreading terrestrial and celestial internet investment in Goma and Kivu regions, Yei from Koboko, Tolit from Nimule and within Uganda. Can't Ugandan engineers at UCC and Makerere design modems, decoders, fibre optic cables – what is happening

iv.                 UTL has made so much money that today it will be able have a research and innovation centre instead of importing everything.

v.                   Uganda Railways should seek investment and start designing locomotives and consulting railways lines. Let them seek help from seimens.

vi.                 Uganda Cotton and Coffee Authorities should start research in cloth and beverages

Etc
