{UAH} AMIN & MUSEVENI'S GULFSTREAMS
This picture shows a Ugandan state Gulfstream on a visit to Heathrow at a time when Idi Amin was president and Uganda was at war with Tanzania, a war that would see an invasion by Tanzanian forces and Ugandan exiles, the deposition of Amin and the return to power of Milton Obote. The picture was taken through the fence from a road that ran past the business jet park and the British Airways maintenance area – the new 747 maintenance hangars can be seen in the background.
"Uganda One" on final for runway 31R bringing President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to the 68th session of the UN General Assembly.
