{UAH} ''Hannah Ogwapiti: now this is one of the pillars of UAH and the ‘best friend’ of Gen.Kale Kayihura on the forum.''?????????
HAPPY NEW YEAR,UAH, Happy Birthday of UAH: Dear UAH readers/participants.I am delighted to announce that this month marks the 7 years birthday of UAH. I started UAH in December 2007, a year after my undergraduate studies here in the UK. The first joiner was me,and then there followed debating giants such as Mr.Edward Mulindwa (Canada), Mr.W.B.Kyijomanyi (USA), Ekissode(who left the forum), Dr.Johnie Muwanga Zake(USA), Mr. Oryema Johnson(Canada), Mr.Nsubuga John(Uganda), Ms. Jennifer Biri(USA), Mr.Simon Peter Okurut(we don't know where he is now), Mr.Jonny Rubin(Netherlands), Mr.Edris Kironde(USA), Mr.Ahmed Katerega(Uganda), Ms. Aisha Kabanda(Uganda), Mr.Herbert Byaruhanga(UK), Mr.Samson Mande(Sweden), Mr.Wafula Ogutu(Uganda), Mr.Gwokto Peter(Canada), Jude Lumala(Uganda), Cliff Musimenta(USA), Rev. Joseph Kamugisha(USA), Jose Lukyamuzi(Uganda), Joshua Kato(Newvision) and so many others
Today the list stands at 51,652 members on UAH excluding those at our Tweeter accounts, and the membership is spread out in Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Nigeria, Kenya,Uganda, Tanzania, Madagascar, Australia, Canada, UK, Sweden, Netherlands, Switzerland, France, USA, India, Pakistan, and many other countries. From what i know, I think there is a UAH member in almost every country in the world now.
I am delighted to tell you I have read interesting and useful articles sent to UAH by so many participants that I otherwise would never have discovered. I also come across people who tell me they like to read UAH , and that its having a real impact on Ugandans and the political and economic affairs back home in Uganda, and they thank me - well thank you to you to have kept this forum going for all these years.
Without members that take their time to research information before they post messages to the forum, UAH would be nothing, or it would be like so many other forums that rely on newspapers articles and links.
On researched articles, I specifically wish to thank the following people that have produced stuff that have turned UAH better than even probably Makerere University. And this is straight from the heart, guys:
1.Corporal Otto Patrick (NRM): we learned a lot from this gentleman while he. It's unfortunate that even the wise ones let ego and pride to take over instead of reasoning. Yes, he broke some UAH rules and we started moderating him, something he was not happy about and therefore decided to quit the forum. But I would welcome him back any time with open arms if he is willing to abide by the UAH rules. I thought I had found a mate in him even if I didn't know his name as we used to chart over the phone, sometimes, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. But, despite all our misunderstandings, I really liked the guy and hope he one day comes back to UAH.
2.Ahmed Katerega Musaazi(NRM): This one used to send some juicy statements for us which could not be found in any book in a library and we loved it. He is a brilliant fellow, brother in Islam and a mate!
3.W.B.Kyijomanyi(DP): Just like Ahmed Katerega, he is one of the pillars of the forum. He is one of the encyclopaedias of the UAH forum. The knowledge in his head cannot be found in any books in the library. Every time, he writes, I'm like I'm back to class. I consider him a friend; the most understanding person on the forum, and I would love to meet him for a cup of coffee
4.Moses Nekyon Ocen: Oh God, it has been a pleasure to know this guy and to read his stuff online every day. He comes across as a guy who has had one of the best education money could provide in the world. There is a lot in his head he needs to share with us, please.
5.Mr.Edward Pojim: Here is another academic giant of the forum. Just like WBK, I will never miss reading a message from him
6.Jonny Rubin: If we are talking about originality in messages, he is the guy. He tell us things we have never heard of, and for this, we are so grateful. His story about Halima Namakula was probably the UAH story of the year. His posting on sports a few years ago was something which you will never find in any of the newspapers in Uganda.
7.Yoga Adhola(UPC): for his priceless contributions about Uganda's history
8.George Okello(UPC): Everyone loves George on UAH
9.Dan Bwanika: We love Daniel for all the pictures and research he sends us from Uganda. I wish he stops advertising on the forum before seeking our permission.
10.Hannah Ogwapiti: now this is one of the pillars of UAH and the 'best friend' of Gen.Kale Kayihura on the forum.
11.Hajjati Rehema: for historical pics and sharing important documents
12.Mulindwa Edward: I could write an essay or a thesis on Edward but I have only got one statement about him:' he is not as bad as people think'. I have spoken to him over the phone and he is as soft spoken as Ahmed Katerega over the phone. I loved his message on Israel growing potatoes along the river and having tilapia fish ponds!
13.Christopher Muwanga: We all love his articles on the forum. He has been quite recently but everything he writes is sweet.
14. Professor Eric Kashambuzi: oh, what another academic giant. Everybody knows what Eric is about, and we have learned a lot from him. He has recently slowed down in sending researched stuff for us. May be, he is so busy or something, but we are glad to have known him. He is one hell of another encyclopaedia on the forum.
15.Sandra Birungi: We love her calm articles on the forum. She sounds like a real deal!
16.Dr.Owori Kipenji: I love his English and his sense of humour. I also love it when he challenges me on forum management issues. He blows his top uncontrollably but I love it, don't you?
17.Robukui: what a revelation on the forum. We now know who did what and what in NRM partly because of him. 'Information is power', right?
18. Rajab Ali: The jury is still out there on him but we can't deny that we love his messages so much. He likes challenging everyone on the forum.
19. Tom Voltaire Okwalinga: Phewwwwwwww! He has made UAH facebook and the rest of the social networks look like a battle field. He is 'General' facebook!
20. Hajji Ssalongo Senoga Aziz: We love you, Ssalongo. I mostly love your English, brother, and it's a pleasure to know you. I know I surprised with that phone call but i will probably do more than that next time inishallah. Don't worry, I won't send a 'Dralu' to 'kazini' you!

I invite each and every one of you to email to Ugandans-at-Heart@googlegroups.com or abbeysemuwemba@gmail.com to tell us
- what you think of UAH,
- how you make use of it,
- what you like about it,
- what you dislike about it,
- what changes we should make and
- your general comments.
A big "Thank You" to each and every one of you, for the impact you had on my life and on Uganda this year. Without you, I'm sure that 2013 would have been extremely boring, and UAH would be nothing. We thank those that don't abuse others in debates, and also those that try to be understanding when abused.
From my side I wish you all a magical Festive Season filled with Loving Wishes and Beautiful Thoughts. May 2014 mark the beginning of a Tidal Wave of Love, Happiness and Bright Futures.
And to those who need someone special, may you find that true love
To those who need money, may your finances overflow
To those who need caring, may you find a good heart
To those who need friends, may you meet lovely people
To those who love football, may Chelsea win the league inishallah
And to those who play Golf, may the Marker give you lesser and lesser strokes
To those who need life, may you find Allah or whatever you believe.
BEST WISHES & HAPPY NEW YEAR
May Allah Bless you all ........
